As an American, it's quite interesting to see Boxing Day actually mentioned as a holiday of note. If I had to guess, it's more of a Commonwealth thing; Wikipedia verifies this suspicion.

I think Boxing Day, in one form or another, is "something" in most of (western) Europe.

Where I (and some other forum members) we just call it "Second Christmas day" (how original). It's an official holiday, too
