One of the letters in the Surplus Forum caught my eye. The lad was asking for a $1.7 million fee Shocked

to collect $450 million...blah blah blah.
I wrote back claiming I couldn't afford that, and within two or three emails,

I would bet three used Name That iTunes cards that you can get Festus down to under a hundred dollars in three emails.

* For those that don't know, Name That Tune originally ran from 1953–59. Crashhoot and I would watch the show together in front of the TV store in B+W on little tiny round picture tube TVs with magnifier lenses in front of them. We could not afford a TV because we were still making payments on our 1947 Ford. It was not until we paid off the Ford that we could afford to watch Gunsmoke at home.

I recall one Lad who demanded $182,768 to receive the monies from Ghana - at first I assumed it was a misprint, but no, they wanted that much! In time I was able to bargain it down to $73,051, of which I was to pay $20,000; but things didn't go right; damn those Romanians!
