The town was nearly wiped off the map by a tornado Saturday afternoon. It is a town of just a couple thousand, everyone knows everyone type of place. I have many friends and relatives there. The entire southern half of the town is gone and there is tons of damage throughout the rest of it. The sherrif described it as "looks like a bomb went off." Positive vibes, good thoughts, or prayers to whomever you believe in would be greatly appreciated
They have a long recovery ahead. The entire county is without utilities At the moment. And their public works vehicles and office were destroyed so municipal trash pickup is not available to help with debris removal. |

I was in one tornado years ago which did not do what this one did and that was enough! Prayers for those affected. |

Thank you. What I learned after posting is 2 other cities were devastated in Texas last night and several more in Missouri. And that doesn't even account for the factthat half of the midwest is flooded.
FEMA and Red Cross are broke, and hurricane season is fixing to start again. Scratch earlier request. Pray for our nation, pray for the world. I know there are natural disasters happening everywhere right now. |
