I got a pig with elephant tusks. The name and address on the account are the same as those of the lad's lawyer character. Is the lad using a real person's name as his character name, or does he have a bank account with a fictitious name?

Two so far, but the second one the lad sent (which is in the USA) he didn't tell me the SWIFT code or routing number. Hopefully he'll tell me them soon.

He told me to send euros to an Ivorian bank. I told him I can't do that and asked how much it is in dollars or whatever they use over there. He told me that, but also told me another bank account.

There's a good chance he's using the stolen identity from a mule or previous victim.

Or he's just added the fake name and address to the other real account details. Account names are not validated in most countries.

I just got one in response to an ASEM. That's 3 so far.

Is it better to send ASEMs to lads who've just blasted out their scripts or to lads found in older email?

In my experience I've found that the older the email from the Lad, the greater the chance that some or many messages may bounce back.

Sadly many people fight back by reporting such email addresses which as we all should know is a very bad idea as having an easily Googleable (Yes that is a word or if it isn't should be) email address on ScamWarners can potentially save many potential victims.

^^What I'm thinking is that, if a lad has just spammed out thousands of copies of a diplomat at airport script, and he gets a message asking where to send the money for the gold, he's going to ignore it, but if it's been a few weeks since he's sent out a ton of spam and gotten a few kilos of replies, he's going to pay more attention to the ASEM. I sent my ASEMs to lads whose scripts were just posted in Surplus, and thought maybe that's why I'm not getting much response.
