These types of scammers are not something we deal with here.

This scammer has details of who you are and where you work. Playing games with scammers like this is not safe - there have been instances of phone scammers SWATing victims who played them around.

If you want to stick around and learn to bait scammers safely then read the stickies and learn about safe baiting.

B8er's right-this type of baiting is not safe. This dirtbag now has your RL number for calls and SMS. There are other lads you can bait that do not put you or your family at risk for counter harassment.

Thanks for the heads up and concerns on this. I will get more details on how to safely do this in the future. I am curious what personal info you heard on the line that was cause for concern? Was it the zip code of a nearby town and my first name? For the record, I am self employed as a consultant - they would have no idea who I work for AND they called me on a fake line I have setup.

As previously posted by B8er and Capone, this is not considered "419 Fraud" as we define it. There is a nice description of what we do here in the FAQs above.

While it may be a fake line you have, it is still not safe.
