New type of scam? "You will be assigned to visit a shop

With a quick search, there seems to be a few threads about this on web, but none really goes into what type of scam this is, and what they want you to do, so i'd be curious to know.... is this a new thing?

DESCRIPTION JOB :

# You need to "pretend" to be a normal potential customer who is looking for a particular service or product.
# You will then finish an on-line questionnaire to share with us your customer experience

REQUIREMENTS:

# Can read and write english.
# No experience needed like shopping

JOB_PAY :
1. You will get $300 for each assignment.
2. Most of the time you will only need to spend 20 minutes on the visit.

Hi Herp,

Google 'Mystery Shopper' and/or 'Mystery Shopper Scam' and I think you will be enlightened.
