BokoHaram in Trouble as God fights for Nigerians with Mysterious Bees and Snakes Bite invading Sambisa Forest. A member by name Kolo Mustapha who was arrested at Mairi ward behind University of Maiduguri by members of the Civilian JTF vigilante group confessed as Vanguard reported below.

Kolo said, “most of us are fleeing because there are too many snakes and bees now in the forest. Once they bite, they disappear and the victims do not last for 24 hours. We were told that the aggrieved people who had suffered from our deadly mission, including the ghosts of some of those we killed, are the ones turning into the snake and bees.”

and it goes on.... LOL. Who wrote this?

Animism is still a very common core belief in much of Nigeria. Region wise it really is a mixed back of nuts there with everything in between. You have animism, throw a bit of Christianity in there and you have voodoo. Christianity wise when you get to that..... now you really have a mixed bag of nuts. Catholicism is still very common as well as Pentecostal. In fact a majority of the lads I have talked to on a personal level are Catholics and the 'name it and claim it, God will bless me with riches' Pentecostal types which IMO is a deadly combination of beliefs with their activity. On one side you have a lad claiming he can confess and be forgiven despite showing no repentance whatsoever and on the other more deadly side you have the Pentecostal lads who figure the more successful they are at making money the more proof it is that God is with them and no one can be against them (despite their actions). Then you have the muslims there.... boko being an excellent example.

That's not to say there are not moderate believers there. I have talked to and met a few reformed Christians there who make more sense than anything and I have Nigerian muslim friends who while professing get party hardy with this infidel any day of the week like we're in Vegas.

Nigerian religious beliefs are very interesting though, you have to give it that. Laughing

^ oh yeah. Never a dull moment. It's as if the religious big bang only recently occured there, and we're still at the hot, dense and rapidly expanding phase.

Beliefs are beliefs. Exploitable in baits, forming the backbone of the actions of those who believe them too. Whether baiter or lad or victim, convictions inform actions. Wink

Wow... that article is real? What the heck. I'd use this in a bait, however I am woefully ignorant on the threat of bees to the health of Boko and, also, I am frankly scared of those Nigerian witch doctors (not personally afraid, more like afraid of what they would do in the name of their "mission").

This kind Catholic/Magic merging reminds me of parts of Louisiana (amplified, naturally).

Them witch doctors are bad guys, we don't bait them (recent rules amendment) for that reason. the whole "money ritual" business is very murky and may often be a setup to blackmail clients. Anything is exploitable ... Predatory juju men know this as well as we do.

Oh yeah. I stay far away from that. Shocked

I saw a documentary (from VICE I think) where they interviewed those guys and it had some of the most shocking footage/accounts I've seen (and I've seen a lot).
