Not many people can claim an 88 year career in Hollywood. (He was my choice to play Sh0rty in the film version of that bait).

I remember as a 3rd grader discussing a racially offensive character portrayed by Mr. Rooney with a classmate that went on to become a movie writer. The classmate told me that he had met Mr. Rooney several times and could not understand how he could be a party to such actions. I remember saying that behind all the money he was just an actor. Over the years I have seen Mr. Rooney a few times and always remember him for his racist role.

RIP Joe Yule, AKA Mickey Rooney.

^^That must be his character in Breakfast at Tiffany's.

I remember him most from the old Andy Hardy movies that I would see on the late movie when I was growing up.

In the 1982 made-for-TV-movie Bill he played a character based on a real life person whom I actually met.
