THE REV DODGES THE ROCK
Poor little rich girl, Sonja, trapped inside a refugee camp, pleaded for help to secure the release of her huge inherited fortune. How (un)lucky she was to have her email end up in the hands of elderly Jewish philanthropist, Imass Lizod. Imass is of Eastern European origin, and the only member of his family to have survived The Holocaust.
His extremely rich great grandfather's fortune had been confiscated by the Nazis, but Imass had unexpectedly regained it via a programme of reparation and compensation run by post war Germany. There's a fly in the ointment, however, in the form of a small but very powerful extreme right-wing organisation who is chasing after Imass with a handful of writs and injunctions, intent on claiming the fortune for themselves.
Imass sees that Sonja has mentioned 'The Reverand' in her email, and Imass has asked her to request 'The Reverand' to contact him.
Imass has very bad English and after initial contact, has left his officious, long-winded English Secretary, Eileen Dover, to do the communicating on his behalf:

Dear Ms. K******,
I am Secretary to Mr Imass Lizod, who has told me of your recent call for help.....
....He is keen to help you to get free of the drastic living conditions you are having to endure, but would also like the man you call 'The Reverand' to contact him with a view to helping in some small way, those other poor unfortunate people who are not so lucky as you and who you will be leaving behind in the camp - or is it a hostel? You mentioned both.
You need to understand that Mr Lizod is now quite elderly and his English is not good, so he leaves much of the work to us, here in his office, but you have his assurance that nothing that you tell us about your inheritance will go any further than these four walls.
He tells me he is particularly interested in hearing from the Rev, so that we may discuss with him ways in which the Trust Fund can help...
Kindest regards to you.E. Dover
P.S. you may call me Eileen, if you wish |

Sorry, Sonja, I am not allowed to make international calls without Mr Lizod's permission and he is no longer in the office. He is already angry with me for being late with the letter I sent you. I'm not really supposed to be using his email address without his permission either, but I think I'll get away with it this time, because of the urgency.
I think he is on his way to the airport to go home to Spain now, so I won't be able to reach him for about four hours.. Please get the Reverand to email me on [email protected] as soon as possible. I have to leave the office for about 2 hours now.
Goodbye for now, Eileen |

Good morning and God's blessings to you Reverend Fred and to Sonja. I hope you are both well and basking in God's glory this beautiful morning.
May I start by apologising to you for my crazy error with the email address that I passed to Sonja late yesterday. I somehow pasted the label to our day folder into the address and it was this that caused the confusion. Silly mistake!
I am pleased that you have taken the trouble to contact me, because my boss, Mr E. Lizod, believes he can help Sonja and you and all those poor people around you. I am just a secretary employed to help Mr Lizod and his son Midong to run their fund-giving organisation.
Shortly I will be sending you a letter that Mr Lizod Senior has instructed me to file. This letter will explain a little more about what Mr Zylod has in mind to help you with your ministry there in the refugee camp.
Now I have to get on with sending that letter to you and with my other work helping the organisation manage the funding we provide to many good causes.
Goodbye for now - and may God keep you and your flock well this day
Your friend, Eileen. |

May the peace of the lord be with you
Thanks for your mail, please if there is anything you and Mr Zylod have to do for the refugees i think there is no need of prolonging it in the name of filing anything as you wrote to me
What i will not tolerate is demanding anything from me before the necessary help to the refugees can be done from your and Mr Zylod because i have a lot of responsibilities that hinder me to provide anything to you
if you truly want to help the poor in the camp you have to be straight in doing it without protocols
If you need information to send the refugee anhything try and let me know in your next mail so that i can send it to you because i will not like much protocols like i told you my work here is to many to be replying your mails May the good lord bless you as you adhere to all that i have written to you and please call me with my phone number 0022xxxxxxxxxx if you are serious Remain Blessed Rev F |

Dear Reverend
You may have already received a copy of this yesterday. I cannot tell right now because I have been in transit to our Gibraltar Office, having had to stop off overnight at Mr Lizod Senior's villa in Sotogrande, Southern Spain. I left the original at Head Office when I left yesterday lunchtime. It should have gone out with the routine 2 pm post, but having been travelling, I have had no way of checking. Things such as this happen to me in this job!
I was asked by Mr Imass to fly over at short notice on urgent business and he decided to take the opportunity to check through the contents of this letter and approve them. He has made a few alterations to the original, so even if you have already received that, it may well be worth your while taking another look at the contents.
In fact, I know it will! Because I know that the alteration he has made is of great importance to you!
First of all, I can confirm that I am authorised by Mr Imass to inform you that he has identified your refugee camp as a likely site for a charitable grant from this organisation.
In respect of this, I must acquaint your good self with the following:
Should your location be selected Mr Imass's Son, Midong will be in charge of the project from this end.
We usually seek to find a local person of sound reputation and evident integrity to look after the day-to-day local business leading up to the initiation of the grant and commencement of operations. Mr Imass has taken the bull by the horns and has mentioned your name as a possible first choice. I reminded him that you have responsibilities as a holy man towards the poor peoples' spiritual needs that might make it impossible for you, personally to take on such a task. If this is the case, and as you are the only person there in a position of authority and trust that we have so far encountered, it may be possible, perhaps, for you to look around and single out any person or persons who, in your opinion could or would be suitable for such a role?
Once we are satisfied as to the trustworthiness of such a person, he is invited onto the payroll under a short term contract. In addition to his salary, he will also have access to the Head Office expense account. If this kind of arrangement is not acceptable to you for any reason, Mr Imass has an alternative plan to turn the money over to the United Nations to manage as they would see fit.
This would relieve you of any burden or feelings of guilt you might have, because of your inability to help those poor souls who look to you for love and spiritual guidance. It will also ensure that the US$100,000 already earmarked for the project will end up as originally intended - giving help and support and helping to ease the pain and sorrow of people such as poor Sonja and those around her, who are forced to live in such dismal and humiliating circumstances.
Mr Midong is expected back early next week, at which time he will take up the position of Operations Director and he will surely be very interested in what you have to tell him. He will willingly answer any questions you may have regarding our plans.
Just one other point. Tell Sonja we haven't forgotten her predicament and will very soon help her to realise her ambition - and neither Mr Imass nor anybody else here are interested in taking from her any part of her huge inheritance. Perhaps she will donate it to helping relieve the pain and poverty of those unfortunate people she will be leaving behind her.She should be patient and understand that this other need is much greater than hers. She can look forward to an early release into a life of unbelievable luxury, but there are many thousands in refugee camps who can never hope for such a life.
I now end, sir, by wishing God's blessings upon you and your flock and of course upon the success of this project.
Yours in friendly respect
E. Dover (Ms) |

Greatings once again to you, Reverend Fred!
My most humble apologies for messaging you again so soon after the one earlier. The reason is that your other message of yesterday has finally caught up with me. International travel even though quite short, can sometimes mess around with business matters, and I apoligise for this and assure you that I was not ignoring your message. I just didn't know of its existence.
Thank you, once again, Holy Reverend, for your very prompt and forthright reply to my previous letter.
You are very clearly somebody who does not suffer fools gladly and who speaks his business mind very plainly. My Boss, Mr Lizod, will find these qualities impressive and very welcome.
Please understand that it is never the intention of either Mr Lizod or any of us who work so tirelessly on his behalf to put unnecessary obstacles in the way of God's work, helping poor abandoned creatures such as those under your care.
Please also understand that, even though we are an International organisation working tirelessly to distribute funding to worthy causes throughout the World, there are people out there who are intent on doing the work of the Devil and who are trying to stop us, so we have to proceed with much care and caution.
Also, quite correctly, Mr Lizod is very firm that we must at all times work in a professional and business-like way, because otherwise we become weak in our resolve, and this will give the Devil's people chance to ruin our work. I have to ask you to trust us on this, so that we can build much goodwill between us, which can only be good for those poor unfortunates we all want so badly to help.
You have my assurance that we are as anxious as you to do whatever we can as speedily as we can on behalf of those poor people. But it must be done in an orderly, professional manner. I'm sure you will understand that.
I believe I told you in one of my letters to you that Mr Imass is now retired and that his Son, Midong has taken over command of the Trust Fund's affairs, and that Mr Midong is at present still on business in Australia, where he is working out in the Great Australian Desert with Aborigines and cannot be reached. He is expected back from his travels next week and I shall be sure to bring this new project to his attention as a matter of urgency and to pass on to him his father, Mr Imass's instruction that he now is overseer to this project.
I have great faith in the prospect that you, Sonja and of course the poor inmates of that terrible refugee camp will very shortly be enjoying the fruits of our labours, made possible by the most generous donation of funds from Mr Lizod's organisation. Until then I wish you and your flock good fortune in the future, made possible by the warmth of God's Bounteous Love and His guidance to all of us engaged in His good works.
Yours with respect Eileen. |

May God Bless you
I received your mails, as a servant of God who is engaged in the preaching of the word of God to the people, i am not chanced to be undergoing some certain protocols as you may require i told you this earlier
If you truly need to help the poor you can do it with all your heart without much writing because if given conditions in helping the poor it simply means that you are doing bad and not good despite your help
So like i told you earlier i dont want any examination, it id God who have the judgement for all even if you are been trapped by the evil doers the judgment is not yours but for God therefore if you really want to help the poor the door is open for you to do so
Remember no condition should be attached otherwise you should look for elsewhere to help because i am a man with pure health and cannot engage in anything that will stop me from doing the work of God, so if you are interested in helping the poor, you let me know so that i can send to you a bank account which you will use to send anything for them. |

Very quickly I reply to you because it is the weekend and we are all going home. Let Mr Midong explain to you next week that
1. We do truly need to help the poor and have funds set aside to help you do this
2. If you don't want to help us then that's OK but at least help us find somebody who maybe will
3. We are not forcing conditions on anybody who doesn't want to help us
4. We do want somebody who we can trust to open a bank account for us close to the project, but work has to be done first. If you have no interest in this, then OK
5. If anybody does work to help us we will pay them good money
6..If you wish to turn your back on $200,000 then that's OK too,
Mr Midong will explain better next week
May God bless you, too and maybe with his guidance you will come to understand. Eileen |

Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ
Your mail sounds ridiculous if you need to help the poor in the refugee here must you attach conditions, are you sure you are doing the work of God because if it is what you are doing you don't need to attach any condition before you can help the poor
I want you to understand that money is the root of all evil and devil today uses money to gain some people heart, like i told you i am here to receive anything which you have for the poor without any condition to be attached, and i cannot look any one for you and i am not ready for any condition that you may require if you want to help the poor go straight and do it
I told you earlier that no condition will be attached so you cannot tell me that i have to work, the only work i can work for you is to help you receive the money for the poor if you are serious and nothing more than that if it is a true that you want to help the poor i am the rev father and cannot look for any one else and i an not interest in any condition it is any devil that gives condition before he can give anything but God does not attach any condition unless if you are not pure but if you are pure all you need is an account number for you to send anything you can afford to the poor
May Christ Jesus help you Remain Blessed Rev F |

Greatings to Yo this morning Reverend Father i trust that God has been kind to yo and your flock over the weekend.
My apologies, Sir, for not having writing on Friday, We have been so goddam busy here all over the weekend, coz we got heavy news on Thursday. Those people who are hankering after our money got some for theyselves and they got to close one of our Geneva accounts. That's damn near $5,000,000 lost and Papa sure aint happy about that!
No need for yo to fret because the money we have for yo is hid away and will soon be there with you.
But maybe we headin for uncertain time now and maybe have to move fast and to keep it from their hands and into yours and all we doing now be done carefully and too quietly. This is why we been so busy this weekend and setting up strongest security.
We got a whole load of very special help from highplaced friends who help us because of all the good deeds with good folks like you! This weekend we talked with our true friends and they came up with a truly topmost internet security software set there is. Same stuff now used by all topmost people. i mean TOP topmost people like Governments and Heads of State and their special organisations, IMF, Military, CIA, for instances.
So now we can be faithful our mailings are safe when we send and we can still talk to our special folk like you - without giving clues of our presences.
Also that we can shoot off messages like this one, and know our words are not possible to be understood by others on the way. Yo know, like the guys who mean us harm, This system is so tight a goddam coyote caint piss through it, because a very high-grade double encoding system they go through. It aint possible we can guarantee messages yo send us is protected in same way, so we maybe to think how yo send to us, I'll think about that and get back to yo.
i'm real sorry to do this to yo My Father, but i hope you can see why.
Yo and i must now work together quickly as we can so them funds getalong to yo without toomuch big fuss and bother and so that yo can get to work with it, doing the good works of Our Lord, as i know yo will.
By the way, i have now especial permission to use the highest, most secure protocols to move it across borders, without no worries there be any concerns or suspicions like in money launder or other illegalities. This way, we can be sure there is good secure methods and undetectable.
Now this does mean, Father, that there will be a few of them dratted protocols that we both dislike so very much, but sorry old friend - that's the way it's got to be. Please do not be ballache over this tiny problem i promise I'll keeping them to the bottom minimum and all the legal stuff to be handled by me, personally and there aint no need fer yo to fret about anything more than, maybe one signature on a piece of paper.
Some things we have still to be sorted out, so i'm specially pleading for yo at this time to be patients. Hang onto your Bank details for a little longer when i ask yo for them and please keep mails down to bottom minimum until we've given this new systems a real good shake-down and know we can rely on it.
Maybe it will help at this time if you can send me answers to these questions. Just put down the question number and the shortest of answers. So if the answer, for instance to Question 1 is 5,000, just put "#1 - 5.000" and so on.
#1 How many people in the camp?
#2 What is the name of the camp?
#3 What Country is it in?
#4 What is the name of the nearest big town or city?
#5 Is there any disease? (just yes or no)
#6 Are there any other charities working there? (just yes or no)
#7 Is the UN there? (just yes or no).
These please answer like i showed.
i will take risk that yo talk in full to me one more time before we hunker down and restrict our words on Internet, so if yo have any questions or doubts so far jest yo go ahead now jest this once more and i will risk it not making big trouble. Jest this one more time while we know our Nazi friends are not breathing down our necks. Thank you Father.
i admire and respect you, Reverend Father, and i admire the good works you do in the name of The Lord, and the faith yo have in Our Lord, but i ask yo please, to save a little of your faith for yo and me and our workings together and give me your best blessings. God Bless You. Your Son, Midong. |

Greatings and God's Blessings on yo and those yo love, Reverend Father.
Here i am now in Papa's villa. i was suspectin that i has somebody workin in the office who might be tippin off those guys that are chasin us, so i moved all our special work out and brought it here where i can work on it with no frets that the wrong people will get to it.
we are jest down the road from Gib. close enough to carry on at the office if need be, but far enough away to be hid up.
Anyways, down to business now. Interestin to read that the UN are not present in the camp, but are as yo say, 'collaborating'. It's usually what happens. They do jest about enough to keep the people from not dyin and to have them fed, but not much else. This is why we prefer to work directly with the guys on the ground. Good guys like yourself, Rev, who have the trust and respect of the people and who know what is needed there to help them get back their lives. i jest wish it could happen that i jest climb aboard the next plane down there with the cash and get a-workin there alongside of yo Father. but that jest aint gonna happen. Jest aint possible. i move right now and before we know it our Nazi friends could jump out and serve them goddam papers the whole show stops and they win.
So now i has to ask yo, please Rev, to come on over here soon and sign a magic piece of paper. The very second yor sign is on the piece of paper the $200,000 is in a bank account of your chosen and out of the reach of them other bastards.
OK here's how it works. You and me sit down, i sign, you sign and as the ink sits there drying the cool dude in the sharp suit sitting next to us call down his cellphone and a guy at the other end pushes a button and it's done and dusted. That piece of paper is what the big guys at the IMF call "Cross-Border Movement Facilitation Order" and is a very special top secret system used by all them at the very top and i got it as a favor from a very close friend of mine. i'm tellin yo, Rev, our little packet of $200,000 don't even amount to a bag of peanuts hey not even one peanut compared to what usually whizzes down that line and it's only a very few people right at the top who are the guys who use it and here we are, a couple of relative nobodies, not only gettin to know of it but actually touchin it and signin it! and this is the one and only time we can use it.
OK, so maybe yo can take a look at best way for yo to get from Dakar to here.i had a look and it seems there are two possible ways, First is to fly into Gib, but you need to catch a flight to England first. Second is the ferry route from Tangier to Algeseras, which is in Spain jest across the bay from Gibraltar. Then you can either get the bus around to the Gibraltar border or catch a cab. It's only 30 minutes journey and the buses leave for Gib every 30 minutes.
Anyhows you choose a route, get yor passport in order, let me know the very earliest yo can get here. See if yo can make it between Feb 10 and Feb 16 but don't book yor journey until yo send me the details. Jest send a mail givin me dates and times send three different choices and dont put no extra words in the mail, jest the dates and times and if it's by ferry or what. Let's see if we can wrap this up now and keep that money safe.
One other thing, open a fresh bank account but don't send no details to me yet.
Let's you an me pray to our Heavenly Father to place his blessings upon us and protect our operation to help those in distress close to you. Thank you, my Father for all your hard work and for yor blessings. Your Son in God,
Midong.

First up - the money is safe and so far untouchable by our hungry friends whose chasin us, so don't fret about that. We gonna jest have to sit and stew a little bitsy longer whiles we work our way through this. It's real top important yo dont send no more mails till yo get one from me. Remember, our super-safe system is only safe one way it aint safe gettin incoming traffic. Papa says come hell or high water those what we got fer yo aint gonna go nowheres but to you. He an me we gonna get our brains together on this over the weekend and work out how we go from here.
Nothin more mails, please until we send, OK?

Thanks a lot fer yor quick answer.
Those guys who are chasin us jest got a whole lot closer and got to one of our London accounts. If they carry on like this, soon we won't be able to help anybody.
Papa has ordered we hunker down fer a few weeks and stop operations on most of our programs, hopin this might throw them off the scent. Your program still goes ahead at least for now, but the upshot is it jest aint possible for us right now to move any cash, even the very teeniest amount around the internet.
We been bustin our asses on this, Rev and we see no way out but fer yo to get busy down there and raise the money you need fer that passport and travel documents, so it's time fer yo and yor folks down there to get into self-help mode and get that little bit of cash yo need by doin some fundraisin.
Yo has yor church an yo has that young people in the hostel that Sonja spoke of. Yo also has a telephone an a residence and computer workins. Yo also has 700 camp residents. Yo also has a great big city on yo doorstep which is full of payin customers. These Rev are yor assets and if we get the right kind of thing up that yo can work with it shouldn't be too long before the cash you need is in your hand.
Jest send me a one-word mail back. Send me the word OK to tell me you OK with this. If yo need to raise a question, then jest the word 'question'. Then I'll mail yo back, telling yo how to ask that question. Please remember, my mails are protected from hacking. Yours ain't, so please jest the one word. Send this straight back to me when yo get all this read and understood. Then I can help you think of fundraisin ways and keep you up to speed on any other things you might need to know.

We been riskin our whole operation to get this money to you. We told yo right at the start that we preferred workin with people on the ground and we told yo why. We told yo too that we been workin under pressure to get this money to yo and we told yo why.
Perhaps the truth is yo ain't really such an important man down there in Dakar as you make out to be. Perhaps the truth is that there are others more willin and able to do this thing an have the true faith and courage to see it through. Perhaps the truth is yo nothin but a goddam work shy loser has no interest in liftin hisself out of his lazy ways and doin somethin to help even hisself. Perhaps the truth is yo such a hopeless loser uses God to make his excuses. Perhaps the truth is yo happy jest to hold out yor hand and hope some other fool is goin to drop a fortune into it.
Learn to be less of a faithless fool and more of a true Man of God. It ain't no good to point the finger at those who truly do God's work. Point it at yorself, you fool.
And pray to your God for forgiveness. Yo has 24 hours to see the light and send an apology. |

Goodbye and may God change you from evil |
Perhaps my aim to get him to Gibraltar was a tad ambitious for my first bait. I am certain though, that the possibilities for real torment to a lad at the Gib/Spain frontier are many and varied. I know first-hand of the special difficulties at this location and would be happy to help any more experienced member who cares to have a go at it |
