I stumbled upon this in the news and figured some of you might be interested. If nothing else, the investigation of WU provides a good excuse for US based characters to be suspicious of using it for money transfers.

Just think with this item, which can be copied, posted in Word and adjusted and sent to a lad as another reason why a baiter can not use Western Onion to send money. Very Happy

Definitely. But I wouldn't just copy the text - I'd give a link to the article and pretend to be very concerned about it. If they're hooked well enough and well-invested in the bait you may even be able to use it to make them convince you that they aren't involved in fraud Laughing

This is good news and definitely another excuse that can be used,however I think any advantage gained is evened out by this new thing whereby you can send money through W.U.online.
I was an 83 year old bed ridden man the other day and they insisted I sent it through W.U.online,when I said this was impossible,they broke off contact.This is the second time this has happened now.

^^ Actually, I think the opportunity to send money digitally is great! It's too bad so many things can go wrong. There are all those evil people who hack datastreams, and the government monitoring everything online, and trolls and viruses and glitches, oh my! Very Happy

Capone provided a similar link a while back and it netted me some Swine within an hour. I got no argument whatsoever from a very difficult Vlad.
