I've sent out a few PMs now with information on how I get piggies and some advice. I've sent two basic types, one for baiters who are experienced at getting bank accounts and are curious how I get mine, and one for baiters who are less experienced and want to get started in piggy hunting. If anyone else would like one of those two PMs please let me know, either here or through PM.

Knowing how Gimli's modality works I'm a little concerned that too many people using it could dilute it's effectiveness.

I recommend that those people using it should co-ordinate their efforts and where they are getting their lads from -- also use Gimli's modality as an idea and make their own variation of it.

The way the Reporting Tool works is that if it sees a duplicate report that has been reported within seven days it will ignore it --- and you won't get to know about it.

I was going to leave those methods alone but try to adapt them to suit my own baits if I can. Gimli has joined the effort so I would not want to ruin the effectiveness of that.

My focus nowadays (when not tending to RL!) is locating and DB'ing fake sites. I just found (and DB'd) a couple dozen fake sites on the same IP.

If it is not too inconvenient, I will let others report.

A few more nests like this, and it will only be a few weeks to make the goal!

@Spot: I've been suggesting to those I've sent advice to that they adapt their methods and make them their own for that very reason. I've also suggested that they perhaps try baiting loan or ATM card lads, or any other lads that demand quick payment, since my focus is lotto lads.

That means the site killers down in FB could probably use some help. (Hmm..I wonder if we could do some recruiting)

Does that mean that even you will not get a report of duplicates? Are they recognized as duplicates based on reporting style or solely on the account information?

As long as the system is not fouled by us reporting some of the same accounts...I suppose it does not matter.

That was my plan! Gimili also stated as much in her pm.

I am a little confused on the reporting tool you spoke of. When you say ignored, do you mean it won't report to whatever agency it gets reported to? Or, will it ignore my report, therefore I would not be able to claim it as a piggy?

^I certainly don't speak for Spot, but if you report an account that you have baited, you may claim it.

For our walk, it does not matter if it is a duplicate.

The reporting tool is for premium members and is quite easy to use.

Non-premium will still report the usual way and they will count.

I sent out an early tickle to a dozen or so Coca-Cola Lads. Hopefully I'll start reaping accounts shortly after the 1st. I also started another class of refugees and am vowing to bait and report on all that are posted in that section at SS.

I know we haven't started yet, but I killed 20+ sites yesterday. Very Happy

Kvc is notorious for allowing sites to come back online, but I'll make sure to keep reporting them until they stay dead.

We had a discussion about this thread in the Mod Lounge over Xmas. The general feeling is that Hints and Tips isn't the best place for it ( for one- its behind a login). I'm going to move it to its rightful place in Main.

I know a few members also wanted it stickified. We try to avoid too many Stickies , no-one wants the first 20 items on any forum to be filled with Stickies. We figure that if the subject is as popular is people think it will be then members will be posting in there regularly and that , in itself, will ensure that the thread stays at the top of the page.

Regarding the bank account and CC reporting- we are working on it.
