Bangski! In Russia most people have a dash cam as it helps sort out who was to blame in accidents what they don't have is decent insurance. Having watched a few, some of their in car music should be classed under crimes against humanity.
I saw one with sound the bang was shattering, most injuries were caused by flying glass from the shockwaves.
On an apparently unrelated note, tonight we have a close encounter with an asteriod, which will pass closer than earth orbit satellites. |

It could also have something to do with the fact that the Urals are a wee bit before Canada when counting time zones.
Edit: Apparently it is not only the lack of a good insurance that causes many Russians to have dash cams. Insurance fraud us very common there, and the cam help the car owners in their cases against people running in front (or into the side of the car) in order to get a quick payout and a lengthy hospital visit.
