I usually have a few pages of eater opened up in my browser so I'm never far away. Smile

I'm glad to start the new year. We had to put to sleep our last sick cat (they all seem to come to our house and the fifth one in seven months that had to leave us) the night before so the new year was bittersweet. But we watched the fireworks in several villages from atop a hill and drank sekt.

I know of a few people in areas where dogs are dumped. I got my little Nino from people that were going to put him down because he wasn't a puppy any more. I despise people that do that.

People like that shouldn't be even allowed to have animals. Our vet had a couple come in with their sick cat - she had diabetes. They wanted her put down because of it. They were adamant - having to spend five minutes twice a day measuring her blood sugar and giving her a shot of insulin cramped their lifestyle. He told them to leave her and he would do it. Instead, he called us knowing we'd take her (we already had one diabetic at home). She lived eight more years and was a wonderful cat. /off soapbox.

Needless to say, I have a special place in my heart for others who take in rescues. Smile

The appointment was cancelled for tomorrow and reset to the 29th. I did get a call about the scan saying it is mostly outside of the skull but a little bit is getting into my brain. She is setting up the surgery already.
