A Lad wants my pic and I am unsure as to what to do...I would like to send him a "file" that is basically a blank so I can waste his time downloading a file that contains no picture. Please Help |

That's a good idea. The Lad may ask you to re-send it and then of course you do that. Soon he will give up as it's money what he wants, not a picture.

Do what I have just done, this was a grea tip from one of the guys on here
i scanned my pc for .dll and found one which was 25 megs. i then went to the .dll file copied it to desk top and renamed it to photo. then it changed its appearance to a picture file, i then uploaded it to the lad. |

I have three celebrities with enough good pictures to be my base for romantic scams but even for all the other baitings. When the lad sends a fake ID I send a nice picture of "me" - it is nice to be famous and if you want to be secure use someone noone knows, someone who is in the waiting line for "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here"... |

One of my favorite ways to fulfill this sort of request is get an image and alter it so it appears to be an aborted download. Of course the image needs to be a reasonably large size (3mb+/4000x3000 pixels) to keep it believable. It took me about 5 minutes to do this using only MSPaint and google (grey color should be #848683 for authenticity)
It's not your fault they can't download the picture now is it? 
I find lads are much more likely to believe it if they can see part of what they're expecting - it works with the more tech savvy internet trolls I'm normally deal with and they are not willing to admit the problem is their end when you insist the image displays correctly for you.
This technique can also be used for anything they might ask you to scan and send to them. I am slightly surprised this little trick is not in the tips and tricks section, unless I missed it? |

He will be filling it out shortly, he said he would have it to me as soon as possible. I will post it as soon as I get it. His deadline is for 3pm my time tomorrow.
Once I get it, I will slap him and tell him it isn't good enough and he must redue it!

How do I send a corrupted file?
I will start with that, then send him a pic that looks like it has not downloaded properly, NOT my fault his computer must have screwed up in downloading the pic and I should be able to get a good slap out of this as well. |

Just type in a file name, extension and the size you want it to be. NOTE: It's in bytes and not megabytes so you'll need to do your math. It then makes up a junk file you can download and send to your lad
Or, you can simply take an MP3 file and rename it as jpg. Other folks use dll files (I'm still confused as to what those are as I'm on a Mac). |
