One thing I meant to mention. There is no obvious way for a user to change the battery, so I guess it's designed to last quite a few years. Or at least until they release Kindle 4. Laughing

No, the battery is not meant to be user replaceable. Within the first year, if it fails, Amazon will replace free of charge, including postage both ways. However, if you google Kindle battery replacement, you will find ways you an DIY, if you wish. Wink
