Why is this scammer so stupid?

S/he claims to have read my profile on a online chat website, going through the effort to providing me the link to my own profile page, lol.

S/he failed to read one of my listed hobbies is "baiting scammers".

Does s/he deserve to be baited? Lol. Hell yes!

If that profile contained no real life details of yours, he definitely deserves you! Smile

Before I started baiting, a while ago I received a "Charity Scam" email claiming to have found my profile and gave me a propostion. Being ignorant at the time with an email address that I used for personal emails (I don't use this account anymore after I started randomly making new email account for who knows what. Then when I got back into it again it deleted all my emails for not signing into it for about a year.) I asked her (him): "How did you find my profile?" She (really a he): I found your profile on website (wouldn't specify)" and I asked her where exactly and she sent me the same reply and that's when I know she was lying. She had a funny name too, I wish I found Eater back at the time I received that email so that I could bait him.

This is just part of the scammers 'script'. They never actually read your profile and haven't got a clue who you are. Scripts are passed around between scammers until they find a 'modality' that works. When presses most scammers have absolutely no idea what e-mail you received, they just are told to follow up with the next part of the script or call you to make sure you are a real victim.
This is were the baiting starts fo course. Suck them in, convince them you are a victim then slap em about until they cry for their mothers.

The amount of nonsense I've read from scammers lead me to create my own topic on the forum just for these instances. Check it out from my siggy.

As people have already said this is part of the script and they probably haven't even been to your profile anywhere. I often reply to these with something like "Oh you must have seen me on the goat fetishist's forum" which gives you a stick to beat them with later in the bait when they won't talk about which position their goat prefers and that they'd better start tallking about goats pretty quick if they want any money Smile

I only submitted one entry in the 'fake guestbook' here on Eater, not sure where I found it, and get more scam mails daily than I could ever handle.
