I see that Gmail now uses mobile phone activation. This is a great move by gmail but not good as I need a new baiting address.
Which other email do you suggest for baiting which I can use and does not give away my privacy? |

I don't go with the paranoia about hiding your IP (unless you're baiting from an office or school) and will use anything.
But that said, http://fastmail.fm is a very good email provider and it does strip your IP.
I've had an account with them for well over 4 years now. |

Gmail will only ask you for phone verification sometimes. Try again at a different time of day
Honestly, I don't care if my IP gets sent out, but Gmail's interface is the only one I've seen that isn't absolutely painful to use. I used to not care about storage space either, but it seems that I've got 67MB of stuff in my baiting accounts. |

If they give you the option of verifying with a voicemail account, just set up an IPkall. It's worked for me. |

Leanne: The way it used to work is that they'll give you a code over the phone, which you then use to activate your account. I'm not sure if it's changed since then, or if your information precedes mine even.
HOWEVER, the verification is not a problem. As mentioned, it doesn't show up every time. All you need to do is keep on trying until you slip through the net.
And even that's only if you're hell bent on using GMail. If your only reason is - as you've stated - to "not give away my privacy", then I just wouldn't worry about it.
Your IP will likely narrow your location down to about a million or so people, which means absolutely nothing to a lad or anyone else.
I could narrow my identity down to only 40 000 people by giving you my ZIP code, and neither you nor anyone else reading this post would be able to track me down with just that info. If you're interested in trying, it's 95610. Happy hunting. |

I just entered my phone number for verification. It is a pre-paid number so IF google will share that information with other services I don't care. But I'm almost sure that google will not share that information with anybody.
And I also signed up for a Skype-in number. I have to use my credit card for that one. But why would Skype give my information to anybody? I don't do anything illegal as far I know...
I work for an counter drugs governmental organization, and even for that organization it is very hard to get information form ISP's, telephone companies etc. about there clients.
My IP resolves in a city with 160,000 people living there... Good luck to find me...
Back OT, Gmail will not ask you for verification every time. Try again later or use a different computer to sign up for an account...
But when you worried about it, it is always better to be on the safe side a don't give any information to anybody in baiting related activities |

Sometimes gmail asks for a number and sometimes it doesn't. Just start over and it will give up and let you create an account normally.
In other news. Opera has taken over Fastmail. Users have no doubt already got the email.
Opera buys Fastmail.fm |

Just a little less likely than the chance of them finding the area without stumbling upon a meth lab. |
