Nick, to the best of my knowledge the golden pith award is based on a vote in the mod lounge. I assume every aspect of the safari is taken into account: distance, duration, impact, etc.
I hope no one misconstrues my comment as somehow diminishing this bait. I think it is fantastic and I am thoroughly enjoying it. I look forward to what these two fine baiters have in store for this sorry excuse for a lad.  |

@ Bluth: I am a hard working baiter and like being a part of this site but because I don't post in the general chat and get involved with the social side of this forum, I am on the outer and I did come to realisation that a gold pith wouldnt be awarded but just a little joking reminder of its worthiness is ok.
The Jewel Heist and Chad baits are great and definitely worth it, I haven't read the Hector bait myself and I do think mine is worth it
You did a special show on this bait and if it wasn't worth it then it wouldn't have gotten the whole show time |

@Black Dog - I appreciate the job that you and Rev Who are doing, and I think your bait is fantastic. From my perspective golden piths are awarded based on the merit of a safari, not how social the baiters involved are. In the end it's a mod decision so whatever I say doesn't really matter.

I know for a fact that this bait won't get one but for the sake of showing examples of merit here:
- He did a painting for another baiter and shipped it to USA
- The other baiter passed the lad onto me thinking he wouldnt send anything to me
- He painted my dog
- Shipped it after a massive effort to Australia
- Filled in forms to get WU & MG payment
- Safaried to a Mr Bigg's resturant in Lagos from Ghana & brought 2 other lads along on the safari
- From Lagos they were safaried to a lads address in Akure then when they didnt meet us, went back to Lagos.
- Stuck in a taxi car park for 2 nights coz they couldn't pay and then re-safaried back to a Mr Bigg's at Akure again
- Put it police custody for 5 days untill they could pay the taxi driver
- Sent to the Nigerian border on a police bus and stranded their for 2 days
- We safaried one lad to meet him and tried to get another to go
- Caught the same taxi that took him to the police in Akure to Lagos airport to meet us
- Caused a ruckus at the airport with security and immigration and tried to board the plane "that we were on"
- Got back to the border and is still stranded 20 days later
- Still has much more potential when he gets back to Ghana

Day 21 of Wellington's safari
He has hit the 3 week mark now and is stranded in Lagos still.
We havent heard from him because he has no money and just waiting till he gets home now, he managed to get money to get released from police custody so he will get some this time for the ride home |

In regards to Gold Piths, don't worry. I have two I don't wear. Anyone who thinks they deserve one automatically doesn't get one. There isn't really any sort of strict guidelines or rules we follow when deciding. It's usually a coin toss or dart board selection. Please don't be fooled into thinking the mods actually read anything.

You should read the thread which would give you a bit more understanding why it got the golden pith.
Before he vanished, Hector has travelled through 11 countries, been chased by Ninjas, Interpol, and Steward, dealt with close to 30 characters played by five baiters, filled out numerous complaint resolution forms (with an earprint!), and been on safari for much of the last 13 months, including 10 weeks when he vanished.
