While they are all really good characters, for some reason I think my favorite is RSOT-man. Love his costume. Very Happy

Scambaiting in general needed a wee profile boost so I went and told a few people. Very Happy

If you're going to burn lads, nothing does it better that 50,000 people checking them out. Although my photobucket usage jumped from 60mb -- 5.2Gb in 12 hours.

Although it's nice to have traffic, if there's just one person amongst all those visitors who has switched on to 419 scams due to the bait being posted there, that's what counts.

I've read a few negative comments over there stating that slashdot is "good for advertising revenue". If only. Neither Eater nor it's sister site, www.scamwarners.com work that way.

We're all about having fun here and educating people so that they don't fall for 419.
So to anyone whining that the comic "is not news" or that Eater stands to gain financially from having NN's bait posted, the answer is: that's neither what baiting is about or why it was advertised there.

Remember: the next person who gets scammed could be a friend or a relation of yours. But if you let that person know that 419 is out there, the chances of that happening, narrow considerably.

Education is the best way to beat the lads. And getting the word out there is the best way of educating. Wink

This is really, really great!!

I remember when I first found this place and spent a few weeks reading the letters page over lunch at work. I haven't laughed this hard since then. You have to share some of the emails you used to get them to this point. I'm sure they are every bit as funny as the end product.

Please don't burn them until you've squeezed the very last drop of comedy from them. A scammer who will shave his head and eyebrows without even being asked is worth his weight in gold dust. I'm sure the others are capable of similar greatness if you can just coax it out of them. Laughing

Great baiting. I bet your mutant scammers are expecting a huge payout after all that costumed work. Any chance of getting them to do action shots? Photos of them jumping off roofs or dashing though heavy traffic works for me.

I hate to poop on the party, but I think NN has a serious problem here. Allow me to explain...

Comic book superheroes are judged based on their villains. Without the Joker, Batman is just a guy in tights with child abandonment issues. Superman has Lex Luthor, Spiderman has Doc Octopus, and so on. NN, you've got a team of superheroes here, but nobody for them to fight!

Might I suggest that in the next issue you introduce the "Nasty Nurse", a villain so vile that she lives to corrupt the efforts of all dishonest scammers everywhere. Your loyal readers could then follow the exploits of our heroes as they attempt (without success) to bring the Nasty Nurse to injustice! Then you'd have a keeper! Very Happy

ah, you have missed the juxtapose of my tale. I wanted them to dress up as 'super-heros'. At no time are they referred as such. In fact they are referred to as the villains, scammers and thieves. As they are being thwarted by 'someone, somewhere' it is implied in the title of this thread and and on the comic front-page who the real hero of this story is... yes... the goat.
