Why is it that when I see a picture of a large mob of Santas, all I can think of is:

Santarchy, also know as Santacon and Santa Rampage happens once a year in cities all over the world. Google any one of those terms for more information. Basically folks dress up as Santa and meet up and go into malls and bars, ride buses and other public transportation and have fun with the surprised bystanders along the way. Some give out candy , toys, buttons or condoms, depending on whether you admit to being naughty or nice. For many it's a big piss-up and I have often been made fun of when other Santas realize that my bottle of water contains... water! They do appreciate me later on when Santas start stumbling around and their wallet flies off in one direction, cell phone in another!

Sounds like a typical Friday/Saturday night in the UK, just without the fancy dress. I have never heard of marauding Santas in any City in the UK, perhaps other Brits have and can enlighten me  |
