Glad you have raised this point.
I have baited as a teenager and as a young adult, usually only when I have previous knowledge of the scammers claimed age - to fit in as a preferred/suitable victim.
We always need be watchful of innocents (ie not scammers) but then there are plenty of creeps in netland - including those that "pretend" to be both male and female teenagers.
One way to avoid the "real guys" who are forever chasing a fantasy - "young sweet innocent female to exploit" is to raise your bait character's age to 40 plus years. |

You are doing fine - resist giving a scammer anything at all.
Pick and choose what you chat or mail about and always have something - normal and reasonable to discuss or write about.
Yeps flowery waffle too - but perhaps your dog has damaged a dew claw whilst running wild - the infection and swelling and emergency rush to the vets will eat into chat possibilities and could easily cover 3 reply mails - complications - meds - (and the vet is SO cute and dishy) mmmmmmm

Intriguingly, my character is 42 (I wanted the photo to be vaguely believable). And I've had a few replies from 20 yo to 65 full of themself types, some of the real!
I took Kate's advice and dropped anyone I think maybe real. better for them to be peed off than lead along |

okay I know I can delay this with a emergency trip to the vet tonight or send him a .dll file renamed bank info or send him some random numbers but will this be more then likely the end of this bait? Can i say I really can't give out that info over the net? I was aslo thinking of asking him why he doesnt take a check and deposit it in his own account since he says he is from Ca. Any suggestions will be welcomed. |

He asked for the name of you account and which ban. Tell him "checking account" and Wells Fargo (or any other bank). You aren't very smart about these things so he should explain it to you in great detail. He may decide to send you a nice fake check instead.
If you take the lads very literally, it may take him weeks to get his point across. |
