UK TV chef Keith Floyd died yesterday from a heart attack aged 65.
Floyd, known for his fondness for a tipple whilst filming, made a number of 'action' cooking programmes, mainly outdoors in unusual situations, from around the world. He also wrote numerous best-selling cookbooks based on the series. |

By coincidence Channel 4 had a programme about him last night. He looked really ill then.

He was a real hero of mine, loved his programmes. Mind you I did expect him to go from liver failure.

Just returned back from USA today and read about this. Weird because on the flight out last week I was reading a newspaper article which was an account from his wife number 4 I think about what hell it was living with him.
I hadnt realised that although he died of a heart attack he also had very advanced/inoperable cancer.
Will miss him he was really good entertainment value and not up himself like so many of the tv chefs are today ( Jamie in particular!) |
