Well this message stumped even the Enclave. It contains four different e-mail addresses asking for different things.

Alright so, in the body first we have the fake UPS e-mail, no problem so far. Then we have the e-mail to send to if I want a bank transfer instead of UPS. So far so good. Then I have a third e-mail which I could assume is just his information. And then a fourth asking for more information. Any idea why the lad would have me sending to so many e-mails?

I intend to have him do all the explaining, but I just wondered your opinions.

I think he's just casting a wide net. With all of that junk in there, he's figuring you're bound to click on something. Also, he probably thinks more "people" make it look super realistic. Laughing

Looks like you've found a good one there. He should be a lot of fun. I'd send something to every one of them and make it nice and confusing. Twisted Evil

I think I will start with showing obvious interest and ask him to please explain it a little better.

Wow, this really is a hodgepodge of standard scammy stuff, all wrapped into one format:

Scam victim reimbursement
Widows/less priviledged charity
Fathers from Rome (<-- I liked that line, lol!)
Directed by GOD to send millions
ATM card
Bank wire transfer
Parcel shipment by UPS
Charles Soludo (wouldn't be a proper Nigerian scam without him making an appearance!)

This lad's been working overtime on finetuning his format. Should be a fun bait! I agree - reply to each email, and make sure you don't move forward until you get adequate explanations from every one of them. Twisted Evil

He'll be fun - start straight baiting all 4 of his characters/addresses with different questions, keeping it civil and victimlike. Then after a short while, start bitching about some of his characters to others, and force him to agree. I love making lads say nasty things about themselves, including a recent loan lad who in order to make me trust him had to email me telling me what a big liar he was, missing the irony entirely.

Ok so I'm new to this but the emails I've been getting and this one have similarities. There's certain things capitalised that are as well in the ones I've been getting, and there's an atm card number right there listed in it like mine, does this happen often? Also, I'm pretty sure you guys picked up on it too but come on now look at that atm card number.

Lads sell "formats" to each other - or they steal them from each other. One lad has some success with one format, and before you know it all the other lads are using the same format. In many cases they don't even bother to change little details - just bung a new list of addys into the BCC field and send it off.

After asking for clarification he resorted to just a classic message of the ATM card stuck somewhere, need fees, blah, blah, blah. Well, I plan to contact all the other e-mails to see about clearing up the problem.

Oh, I have a question! He claims that they need the money for a "Yellow card" Here is what he said:

Quote:
On their way they were stopped by custom agent, They said that it is illagal to carry such parel without having a yellow card, so now what we are trying to do is to obtain a yellow card, The custom agent said the yellow card will cost $1000 dollar, And we as a church after spending so much can't be able to pay the whole $1000 dollar, so we are seeking assistant from you,

My question is. Is there a real such thing as a yellow card or did he just make it up? Knowing one way or another could be useful later. The only "yellow cards" I know about deal with penalties at sports events.

Regarding the yellow card.. I instantly think of a hilariously de-educated greencard...

Well, if he came come up with something official sounding like that. I bet I can, after playing with him for a little bit, make him think that a yellow card is real and that I have one and can get his package out of trouble for free! How helpful and considerate I am!

So, will he come up with a new excuse or decline my help? Razz

Also, he told me to contact the UPS agent, who is using a gmail account of course, about the package if I have any questions. I replied that to talk to a UPS agent I will need a tracking number or something.
