U.S. and International Media insist in comparing Mrs. Obama to the late Mrs. Kennedy/Onassis. One example is published in Los Andes Daily (Argentina):

Well, the Media people must apparently see something that I fail to perceive ...

Except for the fact that they both liked pearl necklaces (and I like Jacquie's a hell of a lot more) I don't find any resemblance in any way. And I would assume neither would JFK or Onassis, if they were still alive.

But, do you guys find any thing these two women could have in common?

About a week after Obama was elected I got into one of my usual beer-fueled debates with my buddies at the local pub. They are both staunch supporters of the "shoe ducker". As usual they predicted that the world would end soon. I countered by saying that Obama was a very smart organizer and he would surround himself with the very best to deal with the major problems. I also said that I hoped he would pick people like Holbrooke and Mitchell. Shocked

Yes . . . that's right . . . Obama must have heard me Laughing

I was gobsmacked today when he did just that. Two points for me !!!!!!!

And regarding his wife - who gives a rat's ass what she wears?

She is a decent, highly intelligent, excellent mother and wife who is about as down to earth as any woman could be in her new position. And I won't even mention her wonderful smile.

BTW -

- Obama has promised to visit Canada on his first foreign trip. That is a custom established long ago and honoured by all the new Presidents - except one (one guess as to who that President was)

There is one very important policy that hasn't been touched.

Obama's agricultural policy on sheep. Front page of the magazine "Sheep!' The voice of the independent flock master.

That issued raised thanks to CNN's Campaign trail "The Road Ahead."
