Cowboy Buck and another tale of the Arabian Nights, Part I

No genies or flying carpets, but lots of riches.

American soldier Sgt. Paul Hunter finds Saddam's hidden loot, in US $100 bills.

The original email was in the Eater Surplus forum.

Baited this lad from November 17, 2007 to January 28, 2008 and from
September 23, 2008 to November 10, 2008.

He stopped writing in January 2008 and started again in September 2008.

This post is split into two parts due to size.

Cast:
Lad:
Sgt. Paul Hunter, US soldier in Iraq, 1st Armored Division

Baiter:
William "Buck" Jones, Cowboy and Ranch Manager

The sergeant found a whole bunch of US $100 bills in "Saddam Hussien's family house".

Naturally the flag-waving Buck wants to help out the heroic US serviceman.

He never passed me to a "barrister" or "security company", which is unusual.

First letter promising the money:

Good day,

We are American soldiers fighting in Iraq serving in the military of the
1st Armored Division. The saga of rise in death tolls should not be news
to you and i am sure you will not find this mail worrisome. We have seen
so much in our days of stay here and no matter how much we paint the
picture, you will never understand. During our invasion of Saddam
Hussien's family house, we recovered over 30 million United States
dollars in cash and mostly in 100 dollar bills. This discovery was not
made public neither was it made in one search. Most of the funds were
taken by our superiors and we can not authoritatively or emphatically
make overt statements concerning the money. But it will
interest you to know that we have 7 million dollars which we have safely
secured. Now every month we have supplies of food, drinks,blankets etc
from aids in Europe,the US and other allegiant countries. These
deliveries are made by high commissioners and diplomats. After they have
made the delivery to us they naturally depart. Now we have been able to
make acquintance with two of the diplomats. These diplomats arrived from
USA with supplies to us and are due for departure. We have safely
secured the sum of 7 million dollars in 100 dollar bills in boxes and we
will be handing over the money to the diplomats to deliver in
USA,CANADA,EUROPE,AFRICA OR ASIA Note: the diplomats are not aware of
the contents of the boxes and we have informed them that our associate
will be picking up the boxes for us in USA ,CANADA,EUROPE,AFRICA OR
ASIA. Once you are capable of receiving this, you will have to give us
your full names, your phone number and your particulars as we will pass
them on to the diplomats. Note also that these diplomats are not
American citizens and you will have to meet them at the airport as they
will only be transiting in USA ,CANADA,EUROPE,AFRICA OR ASIA So once you
have gone through this mail. Mail us immediately and we will work our
modalities.EMAIL:[email protected]

Thank you.andGod bless

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

Sorry to hear about your man.

Today I had to come into town to pick up supplies for the ranch.

The local library has computer internet access, which is how I am contacting you.

As I explained, we do not have telephones at the ranch.

As you know, there are criminals who pose as honest officials.

I have to be careful about who I deal with as I am on judicial notice.

Please email me a photograph of your self to confirm your identity so that
I know I am dealing with a real person.

I am willing to travel to the UK, but please email the identifications.

William Jones

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

Thank you for your email.

I have to confess something.
I have been a cowboy all my life and have done some pretty bad things.
I am currently on parole for cattle rustling (stealing).
Two years ago, while working on a ranch in Crawford, Texas,
I stole some cattle from the ranch and sold them to a Mexican buyer.
I was caught, sentenced to 1 year in jail, and released on parole.

I went into the Bernadino Western Union office this morning and they told
me that I needed a form filled out by the recipient of the money.

The reason is because I am on parole and the money is going out of the
United States.

A condition of my parole is that I have to report any of my financial dealings
of over $200 to my state parole officer. The state has a required form which
must be filled out by the recipient for me to submit to my parole officer
and to Western Union.

Please ask the two gentlemen to fill out the attached form and
return it to me.

Sincerely,

William Jones

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

Thank you for your emails and California forms.

There was a bad dust storm in the area of the ranch today,
and the telephone lines have gone down in several places.
Since we are located around 40 miles from the nearest town,
the telephone company gives us low priority in fixing the lines.
Also, cell phones do not work here because of the surrounding
mountains.

We expect the telephone lines to be fixed next week.

I could not get to Western Union today.
I will try again tomorrow.

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

Thank you for your email.

I served in the US Army briefly before being discharged, and am
familiar with army talk.

Frankly, you, sir, do not sound like a soldier in you emails

Could you email me a photograph of yourself taken in uniform
to remove my doubts about this transaction.

Sincerely,

William Jones

Subj: Had to work on ranch

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

Thank you for your emails.

I am sorry that I have not replied to your last emails quickly.
I have been trying to raise the money you requested, but I do have to work
on the ranch.

I spent the last two days escorting two mining engineers around the
ranch property.

They are looking at an old gold mine which operated during the 1880's and 1930's.

Our greedy ranch owner thinks he can reopen the mine and make a lot of
money from it because the price of gold has gone way up.

The ranch manager has arranged that I should get a large bonus payment for
assisting the engineers with their assay.

Sincerely,

William Jones

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

Did the gentlemen Andrew Williams or Leonard Mbeki go into the
Western Union office in London to check on the money?

I went into the Western Union office this morning to ask about the payment
I sent last Wednesday December 12.
She said it might not show up in England for a few days.

The manager found the receipt and it does have the same number 1123581312.
She would not let me use their scanner to scan the receipt.

I took it over to the library where I use the computer but they do not
have a scanner.

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

There has been a lot happening at the ranch which is why I have not
been able to reply to your emails.

I was promoted to ranch manager last week with an increase in salary.
I will be partly working in the ranch office and will have access to the

I also have been escorting two mining engineers around the ranch property

for the mine.

Many of our cowboys have been town celebrating Christmas and I have had
to make trips into Bernadino to bail them out of jail or bring them back
to the ranch.

Sincerely,

William Jones

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

I could not travel to England due to circumstances which occured at the ranch.

A mountain lion has been seen and we are attempting to capture or kill it before
it starts attacking the cattle.

The ranch has a telephone connection but it is not very good.
I am not allowed to call outside so we will have to use email to communicate.

In an emergency you can leave a message for me at 1-206-202-4242,

Subj: I have been working hard at the ranch

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

I have been working hard at the ranch and have more money now,
so I might be able to send the money, but you would have to do a
favor for me.

The ranch owner has asked me to look for investors in a gold mine
which is located on the ranch property.

I have told him I would help out the ranch with our mine project.

Could you have a photograph of yourself or one of your staff holding
the attached "White King" sign.

This would show that I have been actively contacting people.

You will NOT have to invest in the mine,
I only need some evidence that I have made a "sales pitch" to an
"international" investor.

This would really help me out here at the ranch.

Sincerely,

William Jones
Attached: Sign

He never sent me a picture of him with the sign so there is no need to show it here:

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

Colonel Dawson called me this morning and told me that he has

Subj: Re: YES IT IS?

Daer Brother,

Yes, the Atm Card is 100% percentage safe and no person will have an access of
stealing from it because you are the only person who will be in the possession
of the AtmCard pin number being the beneficiary of it and the Atm Card is under
appropriate security.

Also, I know that this is a lot of money we are talking about and that is one of
the reasons I am endeavouring to see that the fund is delivered across to you
safely and the Atm Card is the fast and safest means of conveying the fund to
you.

Therefore, I hereby urge you to instantly furnish me with your contact
information(s) as requested so that I will forward it to the bank to enable them
issue you the Atm Card.

Bear in mind, without the receipt of your contact information(s), it will be
impossible for the Bank to issue the Atm Card in your name talking of delivering
it across to you in United State of America.

Finally, you should acknowledge that we do have much time left to accomplish the
shipment of the fund to you via Atm Card, the earlier you comply to my
directives, the better it shall be for us.

I anticipate having your immediate reply!!

Thanks for your co-operation and understanding,

Yours Brother,
Paul Hunter

I am usually outside working, so it is hard to contact me by telephone and

Due to the remote location of the ranch, we are too far from any cell or mobile

The ranch office has people working in it and it would not be possible to

I understand that I am to send via Western Union $450 to Mr. Ezihe Franklin,
Lagos, Nigeria.

I went into the Western Union office this morning and they told me that I
needed a form filled out by the recipient of the money.

I am the manager of the Sundance ranch, a cattle ranch and mining property
located in Southern California, 40 miles from the nearest town of San Bernadino.

I have been informed that as a designated corporation officer, I must report
all financial transactions to the Califoria Office of Taxation.

This is a state law which was passed by the legislature and signed by
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger on November 2, 2007.

I have to submit the completed and signed form to Western Union in order to
send money out of the State of California.

The form needs a hand-written signature before Western Union and the
State of California will accept it.

Please ask Mr. Ezihe Franklin to fill out and sign the attached form and
return it to me quickly so that I can send the money.

Sincerely,

William Jones

Subj: Why are you insulting me?

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

Why are you insulting me and calling me a child's play?

I am trying to do the best that I can for you, but you have to accept
that I am not experienced in sending money overseas and had to depend
upon the money transfer company.

I was busy all day today at the ranch and could not call the
Western Union office. I will call them tomorrow.

Sincerely,

William Jones

Subj: Thank you for your email and the information

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

Thank you for your email and the information.

I have been away from the ranch and in town all day yesterday for the election.

In American small towns, election day is a holiday, sometimes
the schools are closed, and people like to party, no matter if their
candidate wins or loses.

This morning I have a "hangover" and not up to conducting much business,
also the banks and such places are either closed or running short hours.

Sincerely,

William Jones

Subj: Since this is a financial transaction

Dear Sgt. Paul Hunter;

Since this is a financial transaction, you should not involve God in it.

Remember that Jesus said to keep God and money apart.

If you are interested in joining a church, I am a member of a small church
located in San Bernadino, California, the Church of Saint Carole.

I would like you to know that I am also the deacon of the church and
would like to offer the church's assistance, including financial, to you,
if you are willing to join as an associate member.

Please write to me with your wishes.

Sincerely,

William Jones

Laughing Brilliant! I could almost smell Laddie's frustration. Did you ever get another souvenir besides the Passport and forms? Great stretching!
