Dear Peter,

How are you doing today? hope everything is going rightly for you? I
must confess that i did not really know how to start this mail because
i am not sure how you will take this but i will be more than glad if
you will understand me very well and trust me. But before anything let
me tell you again that i am a very God fearing lady and i will never
hurt a good feeling because i am not sure i can live with a conscience
that does not judge me well. babe,something is happening to me here ,
but i am not sure if its the best thing to tell you or not but as
things are going for me here now, i think it will be the best for me
to let you know my mind. but first i will be very hurt if you doubt me
in whatever way and i have all the necessary documents here and even
my traveling document to prove to you that everything i tell you in
this mail is the truth at least if you are a bit curious i will
understand because of things that are happening in our world now. I
was notified this afternoon about my Hotel bills when the hotel
manager heard that am going back to state soon , they told me that i
have only 2 more days to clear up the bill or else they will seize my
travel document which i woun't be able to go back to state .... And
the bill is just $3,380 but i have just paid $2,755 with me here,i
don't know if you can help me out in borrow me $625 so that i will be
able to clear the bill. I don't have much money with me right now just
bcos of the little sickness i spent my money on . If you borrow me the
money,i promise you that am gonna pay you back as soon as i leave here
is...My Matron went to UK since last week because of his husband that
was going through surgical operation and since then he hasn't come
back.He has been sending mails some days ago but recently,he has
blocked anywhere that i could contact him , i don't know what to do
thats the reason i seek for your help . Babe,i have been at the hotel
here almost a month now and they will not allow me to check out of the
hotel without paying up their bill.The painful part of it all now is
that i have to leave this country as soon as possible so that my
return ticket will not be expired in less than 48hrs time . Darling if

Thanks for getting back to me,How are you and work? . i hope
everything is going on fine with you? i must let you that i will not
let you down and promise to be with you and you promise to be with me
too if have i have any problem you will stand for me and i will stand
for you too . well i was born Headington in saint clement in oxford
city in UK. i am alright here and like i have told you before, i have
concluded all i have come here to Africa to do and i should be at home
in the next few days or something. My matron that brought me here told
me that he will have to go get some orphanage home settled in UNITED
STATE and that i should wait for him so when he comes back he will
just go to the company we worked for here and have our entitlement
then we will be on the plane home. I am not even sure of what you want

peter i have been to the bank twice today and they told me that the
money is not found , thats mwan you did not send the money or you made
a mistake with the MTCN it will better if you could go back to the
western union you send the money or tell me the truth , i know you are
rich but am not sure of what is happening , darling i told you earlier

Ok, that's better. Enthusiasm is good, but not at the expense of judgment. Scambaiting is a game of brain, not of brawn. Charging full-steam ahead at hyperspeed isn't very effective.

Unfortunately, you are so quick to believe that scammers are total idiots that you are letting them fool you, the same way that baiters fool scammers because the scammers think we are too dumb to mess with them.

You are probably dealing with a single male scammer, sitting on his duff behind a computer. The pictures were just stolen from some random website, and he has probably used them many times. Most of what he wrote to you was standard script, just a 2 second cut and paste.

WU can be checked online. Your scammer just checked the MTCN number while sitting at his computer. You never even got him out of his chair. He still thinks there might be a chance to get something out of you, and he is pretending to have made the trips just in case. Scammers lie--about everything. They regularly claim trips they never took (we often have the IP's to prove it too).

This scammer may not have gotten any money, but all in all, he probably wasted more of your time than you wasted of his.

You clearly have lots of enthusiasm and energy, both of which are good, but you need to take a few steps back and learn about your adversaries and their tactics if you want to win this game. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience and some great people here to help if you are willing to learn!

ETA (edited to add): Check out eater university if you want to find out how you can delay things at the payment stage and waste some significant scammer time and energy...
