Ok, you spend, 17 almost 18 years raising one. For the most part it not to bad, the good, bad , and ugly are all small things that no one will see. Everyone tries to tell you how to raise your kid and will tell you that everything you do is wrong. I have even had 1 or 2 complaints filed about me over the years. Then it happens, you are called to school for a meeting, 10 plus people are there, it all out in the open. It will make the news. You are told what will happen, you have to sign a paper and when it all over, you look back and think about all that has happen. Could I have done a better job, ect. I guess that how it goes trying to raise a kid. Good luck to all that are just starting out.

Wait, I left something out, that paper I had to sign, it was a national letter of intent. My daughter is going to __________ University to play sports for the next 4 years and _____________ University is going to give her $25,000 per year. 4 x $25,000 = $100,000 not a bad trunk box. And no WU, MG, and best of all no PD. I always told her set your goals high. She got this one, now the next one is at the top. Maybe in 2012 I will get to go to London. Now that will be great.

my son made Honor roll for the 6th straight term this month. I know how proud you must be.

My Son has his sites set on H4rvard Un1versity.... He really wants to go there.

did I mention he just turned 12.... Seems he'll get there already...

turned out better then his old man already... I did my job...

We're lucky in Scotland that residents dont have to pay tuition fees
Still got to pay for accomodation, books, food etc but otherwise if you're Scots and can get in, its free

so many left over the years
for various reasons

was 1640 the enforcemant of Anglican prayer and Bishops?
Then there was the whole Jacobite thing
Then there was the sheep ( leading to the clearnces by Duchess of Sutherland )
and the silver darlings ( herrings ) failing to return
Unemployment
etc etc
Move back and be resident for a year ( I think )and then you qualify for free universirt /college

I don't know the why, just that in 1644 the first one of us was born on this side of the pond. Then a 130 or so years later we help kick the kings butt.
