Oh dear! Typical Urban legend and the Daily Telegraph is reporting it as true!
I don't believe any chemical will do that. Certainly not any available to Ugandan criminals.

I thought chloroform was quite corrosive (or so it's stated in accounts of the Adelaide Bartlett case) - so smearing it on a woman's breasts as a lure would be somewhat counter-intuitive except for maybe entrapping sadists.

It would also affect the woman, I would have thought. It's volatile, and not odourless if there's enough to affect you.

Yup chloroform smells quite a bit
Its also feels cold on the skin
and the amount required to sedate someone would be quite large so unless the lady was veery well endowed and wearinga gas mask cant see it working...

ah just thought,some men might notice the well endowed lady's assets and not notice the gas mask Wink

but honestly if man was to be rendered stupid by something smeared on boobs surely the woman would be affected too either by absoption through the skin or inhalation...

chloroform stinks. we have chemistry students use LOTS of it, and it only takes a couple of mL out in the open to get me on a rampage Wink

but i might be sensitized to it after all these years!

We used to use it in extractions
Old fashioned glass test tubes that were prone to shatter!

it also dehydrates the skin. makes skin dry and cracked.
i think it can de fatten the skin too.....(dont quote me !)
it is close to carbon tetrachloride. -use to be used to put out fires.

it doesnt burn !

smells nice !!!
