Lad fails IQ question

I think I found a new way to antagonise them. Ive been doing an ASEM on this lad and I decided to make up some excuse that some scammer has hacked into his box and sent me a standard scam mail. So what I do is give him the reference number in the guise of an idiot-proof question, to prevent the "hacker" from stealing the money.
Long story short, the lad is pretending to be my partner, we are supposedly to be married on the 29th October, which is on our 3 year anniversary. I then tell him that the 8 digit reference number (for moneygram) is the date that we met in (yyyy-mm-dd). Obviously the answer is 20051029, but instead he sent me this:

thanks for your mail, this is the lasttime i will ask you for the 8 digit number send me the 8 digit number that is all i want it now,so he can collect the money or you call the pastor on phone
and give him the control number now do that as soon as you receive this mail.

I know you cant customise your own reference number like that but it looks like I got away with it. I replied explaining to him (again) that someone has hacked his box, and that all he has to do is subtract 3 from 20081029. However I meant years, not units so this is bound to drive him a little mental.
