Anyone got Freesat HD? Confusingly, not freeview, or Sky Freesat. This is where you buy a box for £100 or so, and add to your existing sattelite system, to get free to air HDTV from the BBC and ITV.

Thinking of buying a box either on eBay or the high street. My Tv has an unused HDMI socket, and is HD ready. I'm getting sick of fuzzy pictuires, but I'm damned if I'm paying Rupert £200 for a SKY+ HD box, then £10 per month extra. |

I've bought a Freesat box, but haven't yet got round to installing a dish.
Apart from ITV and the Electronic Programme Guide, it uses the same satellite transmisiions as Sky, so if you're getting fuzzy pictures from Sky, switching to Freesat won't help.

And they're running a promotion now where if you get a friend to sign up, you get your box free. |

Alas. Without the SKY subscription you can only get BBC1 and Channel4 HD. |
