I'm happy I found this site. These low lifes are scum!
A family member has had their last $us sucked from them . About a year ago they got the old "prize check for $20,000 and cashed it then the phone calls started (about one every 20 minutes)
The real tragedy is these folks went bankrupt a few years back and lost everthing, they are moving out of thier home this very day. I think the wife took these scams as a way out of the pits they are in. It is sad she had to ask a friend to buy her meds this month. The husband is having the phone number changed , she told that and they told here to go buy a cell phone and give them the number.
I know i can't find these lads(dudes) but I will strive to wreck havok with them until the last one gives up. I hope to have some fun along the way. I am a parttime copper and love it when the bad guys have to suffer.

I'm sorry about your family member. Unfortunately, many scam victims ignore their doubts because they are in desperate situations.

Your desire for vengeance, and your quest for fun will play well here. Looking forward to seeing the fruits of your efforts.

Welcome, Grant. Sorry to hear of yet another tragedy caused by the scammers.

While I certainly admire your intentions, please note that even wildly successful baiters have a very narrow and limited effect on the scammers' world. Collectively, I like to think we make a dent, but even then, we're not going to stop them all.

As a baiter, you have to set your bar a little lower or else you may find yourself giving up when even after a long time doing this, you still get 10, 20, 500 scam emails a day.

I had the misfortune of having to speak to someone in exactly the same position as your family member, and, as you say, we can't get the lad that did it. but we can try to make life a living hell for as many as we can, who knows, you might get lucky and get in contact with the lad that did for your relative.

If you speak with your relative, and they still have the e-mail addresses of the bad guys, could you send a private message to one of the Mods, they'll ensure that special attention is given to them by some of the senior members here.

Welcome! Please read up on something called a "recovery scam" and warn your family members about this. They will get an e-mail claiming the government can get their lost money back... guess what? more fees... guess what??? more money lost.
