No mail from my lad, just checked before I head off to bed. I'm going to enjoy my Tempurpedic mattress top, sip some nice Italian wine and doze off with the cat and the dog.

Meanwhile, Harr1son gets to enjoy a nice park bench, some well-aged gutter water and probably some stray dogs.

Anyone have some ideas as to what Harr1son should do as a memorial tribute to the late William?

I'm going to wait until morning to see if JoJo, Big Worm or the Professor have any ideas as to where we can take the lad next.

Weather in Cotonou last night:

25C (77F), 75% Humidity, occasional light showers.

Sounds like a nice night to be sleeping under the stars, don't know what he's complaining about.

Oh if you can keep him outside to Wednesday they are due to get tropical thunderstorms in Benin on that day Smile

Banikoara looks like it could be a nice destination. My idea is to tell him that he is going to be picked up by another member to take him to Dover. Of course that member will be somewhere further away and once our lad gets there, there will be yet another unforeseeable accident/delay/flat tire or some other random act of God. Laughing

The beauty of it is, Dover is not in Cotonou. So Harrison gets to play "Where in West Africa is Rev. Dover?" until he gets bored with it.

^^^Maybe it was all the characters who said they were going to call him but the phone never worked? There was not one single connected phone call in this entire bait, although JUJU attempted a few. I may still have him try to call the lad in a couple days if I have no response.

Or it could be that he somehow stumbled across this thread while waiting in the cafe for the ride that never arrived.

Or perhaps a lightbulb came on while he was sleeping on the park bench last night, who knows?

This lad was strung along for about 3+ months, built a monument of faith, posed for pictures and went across a border without a passport. He claims to be well-educated, but then again, education doesn't equal common sense. Rolling Eyes

Excellent, so if he is still streded, he will be back at the cafe in the morning, if he has money. He will have a very concerned email waiting from Sister Tracy, Rever3nd Phystm3's personal secretary in the morning. The plan is to number one, check IP and number two reestablish his faith in enough to get him on the road again. I'm going to try repeatedly to budge him, if not, then I'll offer to send money. When things go horribly wrong at the WU office, he may just snap right then and there.

He may have also sold his phone for cafe time or food. Then again, it probably doesn't work there, no matter what sim card goes in it.

Here's the thing, I want to keep communication with him but I don't want him to be able to contact his family who may possibly put together a rescue party. For some reason, I just thought of a goat with a flask of palm wine around it's neck. Laughing

Let's see if he is going to be stubborn, D0ver told him to go home after the lad sent an angry email. So maybe he's giving us the silent treatment but he's only hurting himself as we are the only people who can help him right now. By help, I mean the exact opposite. Twisted Evil
