Does anyone know how to save a file (passport photo, WU sheet, etc) to your cpu without it being under a path name with your real name?

That didn't make sense

For example:

If you save a photo to desktop, it may come up as:

C:/ (your name here)/Documents and Settings/Desktop

Is there any way to change the (your name here) to a fake name (such as mine, Heywood Ufuhkmee)?

Anyone who knows will help me and possibly more in the future, considering I haven't even baited anyone yet!

Thats only visible to you, telling you where that file is located on your machine. Once you e-mail the id or whatever that address wont be visible.

If you are still concerned, you can also create a new user with a new name and login with that. Each user has his own folder in 'Documents and Settings' including the 'Desktop'.

simpsonman, there is a much fuller discussion, with answers I hope you will find helpful, going on here. I'll lock this and your other thread, which asks the same question, so that we can keep the discussion in one place. Smile

Welcome to Eater. Very Happy
