((What follows below is the correspondance between myself and one of those China-based "phone lads", in this case claiming to own a shop selling cheap nike and similar name-brand shoes. I pretended at first to be a "normal" customer, merely wishing to place an order of shoes. From there, I went eventually into a long scheme eventually revealing myself as an officer with the PLA, and claiming that the man was under investigation by the Chinese government for suspected fraud, at which point he started to freak out (though mainly in the Mandarin part.) I put in some OOC comments in bold paranthesis for notation.))

((And here the chat goes to Mandarin. I cheat and used google translator, and went back and forth a few times to make sure it sounded decent enough - better than his English at least. Basically, the conversation went somewhere along these lines. I finally got through to him that I worked for the Chinese government; he kept on maintaining his innocence, but I could tell he was growing rather nervous, and seemed to actually believe my claims of being a PLA officer. I ended basically with a threat that I would send PLA agents to arrest him some time in the next few days unless he quit his business immediately. He said it was legitimate, and that he would keep it going, to which I said he should expect to see us then, and should cooperate peacefully when we arrived. All in all a hilarious bait. I may have to try this sort of thing again.))
