I asked Enitan about it, and he told me he did not tell the lawyer to do anything. Enitan said he told the truth when asked about questions regarding the water spirit and Grandmother. Also, I received the DVD of Joe reading his memoirs with 7 mpg files on it.
Not a single one played correctly in windows media player. They were blank with no sound. About 3.3GB of nothing! Mad

The lad screwed it up somewhere, but I really don't think he did it on purpose. Where would he find one 2.6GB crap file to burn, though?
I suppose I could blame the wild and crazy lady Ms. Fife for it, or ask him to do it again? Confused

Oh God, the money is gone now, and Tom Hagan is a tough guy. The only carrot left is the movie royalties, as far as Marcelo is concerned. I don't know if I'll ask him again, as I'll have to re-strategise the ending for the 57th time in the last 6 months. Laughing

Well, you can't have everything you want in life. Even baiters fail sometimes. That must be part of the fun. I may try to run the files on a linux player, and on my DVD player on my tv. Maybe it just doesn't play in Windows media player for some reason?? Confused

Well, the videos do play in a standard dvd player connected to my TV.
But the sound is still messed up, and the video freezes every 5-10 seconds. Hitting FF for a second then play again starts it back up, but it just continues to freeze up. Not sure if it's the burning equipment, the camera, the disk, or some other piracy coding on the dvd because it's from Africa, and I have a USA player?? I may or may not ask for it to be redone with a different camera, and I'm certainly not going to send him a USA disk to record it on.

Yesterday, I went over to Tom Hagan's office to inquire more about Marcelo. I told him that I wanted to help Marcelo financially until he can get back on his feet out of the mental hospital. He agreed to let me take care of Marcelo's personal finances, and pay for Marcelo's hospital bills and home bills. I'm going over to discuss the matter with the hospital today, and perhaps they can allow me to see the poor dear man. I'm sure Marcelo holds no ill will toward you, Joe. Cutting you out of Marcelo's business like Tom did was unfortunate, but within his rights. Maybe when Marcelo recovers, he will make it up to you somehow. We shall see what the future brings.

Try to keep your chin up, Joe. Keep working hard there at home, and things will get better for you later, I'm sure of it.

Again, words cannot express the joy I feel at the wedding gifts you sent to us. We are very fortunate and glad to have such a good and thoughtful friend like you, Joe. Take care of yourself, Brother.

Have you tried using other players, like Quicktime or RealPlayer? My video camera records in MP4 format and will only play using QuickTime unless I convert it. Just a possibility.

That could be it. We used to get DVDs from family & had to get some special DVD player so we could play them & also burn DVDs for them. Something w/ a "V" in the name(???)...you know my interest & attention to detail with all things technical. Laughing

side to help you if needed. You will be safe in Nigeria until December
12th. The elders and I have gotten a new email address for you to send
us messages from Nigeria. The ones who seek you will not find you if

The ritual is simpler this time. Once you find the skull, hold it above

JoJobean just informed me today that Joe was looking for money last month from none other than Pancho Villa! He hasn't been heard from in a long time. JoJo told him he is returning to Africa soon, and may be able to meet him and help him out. Very Happy

So, after I finish with Joe, I'll see if JoJo and Doc want to get together and keep him busy until Angelo and Tina's triumphant return to Africa to give back the treasures they stole from the forest of Benin, and the secret cave in Niger. Perhaps we'll have another fine safari for Joe in the Spring of 2009. Very Happy

Whether or not he goes to Yankari Park to find the skull to break the curse is another thing. He has family in Abuja area and elsewhere, which is south of Jos State, on his route to Yankari. He could have been planning this visit to see his family already. He doesn't seem too concerned about doing the ritual, either. He's not putting up any fight about it, just asking for a phone call .
Maybe he's not going anywhere. The yahoo addy will prove it eventually.

Of course, Enitan, the Voudou houngan has no cellphone. He lives in Kokobiri, Benin, at the eastern edge of Pendjari National Park near the SSC there. A four hour long walk through the jungle to SSC Benin. SSC was nice enough to provide internet to the village, but there are no phones there. I will reply to Joe later on this.
He was told this before, no phones in Kokobiri. I'll have to ask him to take pictures of himself at the cave, with his tattoo heiroglyphs on his face for protection during the ceremony with the skull in his hands, and send them to me. Once Enitan burns these pictures, Omar's men will go home to Niger. Unfortunately, since if Joe actually goes there and does the ceremony, there will be no crystal skull. He will be lying then, if he tells he he found it, and the curse will remain on him, forever. It really doesn't matter what he does...the curse will not ever be broken, unless he experiences a true redemption in his own RL. Laughing

l would be living for nigeria on the 7th of december to spent one week and hope to be in Ghana on the 15 of december.
My nephew would be going to singapore for a football trial,l am running round to get money for his ticket though not been easy for me, l hope l get, l was wondering if you can do me a favour of lending me 3thousand dollars l hope to get it back to you and l hope you find a better football club (soccer club) for me in the US so that l let my nephew play there ok.

I'll make up some more gushy crap to feed him about us, ask about the purpose of his trip to Nigeria, and maybe break the bad news of my inability to loan him money, as my money has been dedicated to providing care to my dear Brother Marcelo. And I have to save up my own money for my return to Africa in the Spring or early Summer. I might mention the fact that Pancho is going to Africa soon, and he might be getting together with Brother Musa, the Italian helicopter pilot, for a reunion of sorts, and perhaps a business deal they are interested in there. Maybe he should contact them? Very Happy

So, JoJobean and Doc....put your heads together and think of how and where to take the boi for awhile. Maybe you can help get him looking and digging up those cave floors in the National Park. Enitan may have emailed you two about the curse coming back to him. Hopefully, he'll get caught by the curators or Park Rangers, and get in a bit more trouble. Laughing

has given me some help on fixing the video issue I was having with my DVD trophy from Joe, the reading of his entire memoirs. So, tomorrow I will work on the PC codec issue and conversion, and try to get them up on my shared drive and/or my youtube channel for your amusement. Thank you, wayne.
