This has been quite a long bait. Moreover, it is still going on after nearly TWO MONTHS..

..which is great.

There are three characters in this charade:

In RL I'm Canadian.. I have a hard time believing a Civil Servant would put in such long hours. Still, Dr P Br0wn IS a pretty lazy SOB!

Dec-17 I received an email asking if I'd be interested in working in the Hotel end of things. Why not- I've seen Faulty Towers.. should be fun!

My character replies..

Next day, there appears another email of a Splashy Canadahotelguide.c0m. The website may be legit, but this Chump from Immigration just is not.

I have a back ground in tourism and hospitality and my training allows me to work in restaurants, food and beverage and other jobs. I feel that I could be a good fit in this application and am eager to make the further application.

I am eager to hear from Dr J Br0wn and follow up with his advice and proceed with the Visa.

Dec-19 Well, I guess we all have things in our past or college life that we may not be too proud of. My Character is no exception. The truth comes out:

I enjoyed these positions especially the late night drinking at close. Man - you can imagine some of the people that you can scoot right home with at the end of a shift. I also have a few 'walk of shame' stories coming home at 6 in the AM walking with out your shoes or purse and feeling I tell ya what. But - hey - don't get me wrong, none of this happened at the property and my end of job review was 4 stars and they definitely said that I am eligible for rehire. I SO enjoyed my time there. <-- what a little Tart! Eligible for rehire?! Sheesh!

I will be certain to send that information with my application as well.I was hoping that as you are in Human Resources for this process that you can send me a job description of the Night Auditor for your Hotel Chain. Also - being that you coordinate all the placements and work closely with the Visa people - I want to get a clear job description and know the expectations so I can make certain that my application to you is complete.

Also-I do have the forms underway and am eager to send the fees for the Visa and what ever it takes for me to work for Omni Hotel. I have been telling a few select people (quietly) that I am thinking of making a move and working for you in Canada.

What ever it takes. I am so looking forward to hearing from you and will send the details from the Visa people in Ottawa as soon as I receive it.

Note: I learned a few things here from reading and analyzing other peoples published baits. I think I did a good job asking very gently or at least putting the seed in for some paperwork for the Hotel company to be done. How could I apply for a position if I don't know whats out there?

And also, I reaffirmed to her that I trust her and that I am not telling many people about this opportunity. Notice, it is almost a week and there has been no mention of money yet.

So get back to me. I am in contact with the government official in Ottawa and know that I will have alot of paperwork and forms to complete for this placement to happen. I am interested in the Night Auditor position and any placement you have as a Management Trainee. Please forward these to me as you attain them.

So there you go.. no passport nor birth certificate because all that info was sent to get a new passport. How on earth could you get any type of Visa/ Permit if you do not have a passport?? I'm sure they'll suggest a way!

Jan-4 So we've been running around in circles. I had tried to get my Lad to fill in a few pieces of paperwork but they wouldn't budge. I thought about involving a Faux lawyer but that just didn't make any sense.. So I persisted:
