I can only conclude that the destruction of a NSW school in a gas explosion had reached Nigeria (unlikely) or he'd got some garbled account of an Australian connection to the London bomb plot.
So I told him:

I'm more at risk of breaking a leg on the Mount Buller ski slopes - Marcus was so pleased that we'd come to pick him up that he paid for us to go straight to Mount Buller as a sort of pilgrimage in honour of Skadhi.
