300 more Accra lads mailed. This was the last batch. So, all in all, about 600 Accra emails were sent. About 100 bounced. I am sure that many of them were the same person too. Nevertheless, 100s of Ghana scammers received an open opportunity to come and get some cash! Even if just a handful show up... it should be a blast!

UPDATE:

The TWATs are still together but I am unsure where they have been staying the past few nights since they are both out of money Very Happy

They were quite dissapointed when they heard that Rev. Phystme was unable to wire them some money on account of the national holiday today. They were also concerned about showing up at a bank unannounced and asked if Kevin would meet them somewhere else prior and then they could all go together. Here is the latest email...

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a fight or three break out, nor would some police involvement be unexpected. Do you s'pose any of our lads will land in jail? That might be the safest place for the two broke ministers until their families (or whoever) can come and rescue them.

If anyone has a way to contact them, maybe a line dropped to the local corrupt and vicious police force about a gathering of West African scammers infront of the bank at noon on this day might add layers of teh funnay to the event, and cause a few lads some jailtime or busted heads... Twisted Evil

Funny you should mention that. Although I couldnt find the accra police website (I thought I had it bookmarked) I did send out an anonymous email with a tip to about 10 Accra newspapers informing them that there was going to be a mass 419 scammer meet in front of Prudential Bank tomorrow. I doubt anything will come of it but can't hurt to try.

EDIT: found the ghana police website. You can submit anonymous tips but after you submit it, it asks you for a username and pword. Confused

^^^ I'd be willing to bet that some reporter might think it worthwhile to check out the story, and that word will also filter over to the police department. A fly in the ointment could be that if there is obvious police presence it might scare our lads away. It's obvious that they are already feeling kinda nervous about hanging around in front of a bank.

I just remembered that lots of banks in Brazil have uniformed private security cops hanging around, unlike the US. Do you think the banks in Africa would have uniformed guards as a matter of course? All the more interesting, right?

Just wondering - Is anyone planning to contact a newspaper / radio station at an opportune time? Maybe, in doing so, the local police (or even that "Serious Fraud" group of theirs) can get word of the festivities. Wink

The Pru at Makola Market must very near a police station. Effryd0, BigWorm & I found that out. And 9 or so lads. Razz

BTW, the link is from Ghanaweb. Their criminal reports are how we found out about what was happening when we sent lads there. That and their whining business partners.

I tried to get one of my Lagos Magic Cheque guys to go, but he claims the borders are closed for May Day holidays...I guess illegal border crossings is going to far, but scamming people is perfectly fine Evil or Very Mad

EDIT: OK My Magic Cheque guy was, brace yourselves...telling the truth. May 1st is a big holiday "Workers Holiday" and the border guards will be anxious to get nice payoffs from anyone crossing the border...also the banks will likely be closed, so your mugus need not worry about bank employees becoming suspiscious about a crowd of scammers congregating around the bank.

yea I saw that but like I said before...after you submit, it asks for a username and pword. Not really a good tip function if you ask me.

No word from the TWATs today which is pretty odd. They usually email once or twice a day. I wonder if they totally ran out of cash. Oh well, will update tomorrow.
