Or in another way of thinking; turning a blind eye to crime makes you an accomplice.
As has been said above, one big reason scammers are able to thrive in these communities is that so many of their peers tolerate it, or even applaud it. Maybe baits like the VP bait have greater potential to be effective in reducing scams because they do involve innocents. If community-wide consequences were more common, the tide of acceptance for scammers could perhaps be shifted.
Maybe we should all strive for more ITP involvement, not less.
(I don�t really believe that, but since we seem to be having so much fun with futile arguments, I thought I�d throw it in.) |

that is actually a brilliant argument, and probably the first real one to justify the involvement of ITP. If you punish them enough, they will start policing and regulating themselves.
Of course, it could just mean that they attempt to learn more to prevent themselves from being included in baits, and maybe help educate lads so that they don't fall for baits so easily. |
