I would never have believed this until it happened. This email was sent around Australia in November last year. I did not recieve it but after the 10th phone call at work asking about the money I had one of the people on the phone email the email. You see, it had MY office phone number listed as the contact (although they do say to email them your details and not phone). Since I work for a government department so I couldnt take the phone off the hook (the calls then get transfer to the next desk) and it was the middle of scholarship/grant writing I had to deal with the calls for the next three weeks. In the middle of week 3 I hit 1000 gullible people caLL me. I must admit I got a bit angry at the end - very short to the people at the other end. They wanted to chat! and say how hard it must be for me etc etc. WELL GET OFF THE PHONE!

The fact that he had "1000 gullible people" calling him shows just how potentially succesful a scammer can be.
