It's time bait the crap out of this one. There are several approaches to deal with this scum. Start by sending pictures files that are actually large, unopenable files (e.g., dll disguised as jpg). Finally get around to sending real pictures, but have some fun with it. Find a school class picture, make it a little blurry and send it. Claim all of your friends are in it. Make sure not to involve any innocent third parties. Send pictures of your imaginary friends (Bart Simpson, etc.). Any odd or goofy pictures would work. This will make him mad and he will probably send more threatening messages. Claim to be joking (you're a 12 year old boy) and get more serious. Anything to keep him hooked is good.

You can play the part of a very scared 12 year old. You are so scared that you make a lot of mistakes and misunderstand the directions. Continue to keep making mistakes. He will keep coming back if he believes there is available money. Mention your savings account or trust fund to keep him interested. Keep playing dumb because a 12 year old is not very knowledge about banks and wiring money.

If it appears you are cooperative (the real reason for wanting you to send the pictures) and are willing to send money, you can really jerk this lad around.

Remember that kids tend to be less discreet as they haven't necessarily learnt tact and asking things in appropriate ways.
So you can be rude then play the sweet innocent "what?" afterwards.

Or you could be a bratty teenager and send childish insults "my dad's harder than your dad" kinda thing. I wonder how he'd recieve that.

If you go the bratty route don't forget to taunt him when he doesn't kill you as promised.

*thinking about it* maybe its a new ultra realistic video game, the emails are part of the plot before you save the princess in the tower, and the scammer is like the last boss you have to defeat.... well it probably would have made sense to me when I was 12 Laughing

Actually the OP's modality on this sounds like a pretty effective way to reply to these attention seeking "Hit Men". I'll certainly borrow that if I get a mail from him.

I got a reply from this lad late last night. He wants bank transfer, so I have asked him for his bank details to forward to Alan.

The hitman modality seem to be de rigeur at the moment.This one's script seems pretty similar to a couple of others I've baited recently.

Thanks. At the moment I don't think pointing out every error, in every response, would be wise. He's dealing with a 12 year old. Grammar and such; at least in the schools around here, are not strong points. That being said, kids that age can run off at the mouth. Laughing

^^^ Not pointing our mistakes is nothing to do with how a 12 year old may behave.

We dont like to point out mistakes as this tends to teach the the scammers.

The more mistakes they make the more likely it is a real victim will twig,

You would be best to slap him for the more authentic looking parts of his emails.
