Let me get this right, by using the [ mask ] feature the text doesnt get picked up by the search engine robots, 10-4?
When I paste an email doI need to mask the whole thing, or just certain things like name email address and such???

No need to mask the whole thing. Personally, unless posting a free-for-all or mass bait invite, I'd leave out the email address entirely. If you have to mask, just do your character name and the lad's name. Also, the Help forum is behind a log in which, IIRC, keeps the Googlebots out of anything posted there. The mods like us to use the mask function sparingly, as it hogs up a bit of bandwidth. Wink

I wish.... I had one, his name was Sabiola, (spanish slang for "head") because his head was the size of a basketball....

The American Pit Bull Terrier on the far left and Rottie X on the right were mine. The presa in the middle belonged to a good friend of mine. I always wanted a dogo, and still hope to have one someday.

Well.... I love pits also....
Here's my crazy pit, his name is "loco". It fits him perfect because he ATE through the back door to go out and bite the lawnmower when I was cutting my grass... He's very cool besides that nutty fixation with the lawnmower...

I should have taken some pictures of it, he ended up chewing the tires completely off the front wheels....

Before this turns to "Yet another dog thread", may I just add that there is no need to mask the scammers name, since lads very rarely google their names, while real victims, on the other hand are very likely to do that. So not masking the scammer's name can actually help.

Yup, lots of dogs go after the tires on riding lawnmowers and motorcycles. I can't really blame them for taking offence, considering the amount of LOUD noise and movement. Laughing

Thanks, Gantz, he really was. He passed a few years back from old age. I rescued him when he was about 2 years old and had him for over 10 years; not a bad run for a rottie.

I thought it was just ours. I recently had to change the outside door knob because out Pit bit into it when we were gone and a thunder storm dropped by. She also tore out the metal part of the screen door one day because we were gone past dinner time. Rolling Eyes

My SO can't have her in the house while vacuuming. She bites the equipment. Shocked

She is a good dog though. Smile

On a macabre note, a pit bull from across the street got loose and attacked a girl who was walking her dog down the street, right in front of our house this afternoon. By the time we got the pit off, the girls hand was bitten, and she may loose a finger. Her dog suffered worse, with its left paw nearly severed, sever lacerations to the face and snout, and deep puncture wounds to the neck and chest.

This pit has been terrorizing this neighborhood for the last two months, and now Animal Control has finally taken it into quarantine, and will most likely have to put it down. The owners wailed and moaned that their dog was being taken away, even though they admitted that they had trained it to be aggresive. Evil or Very Mad

The ironic part? The dog that was attacked was also a pit bull. It did nothing aggressive, and hardly even tried to defend itself. Even scared, wounded, and in pain, it did nothing but lick my hand while I tended to it's wounds!

It pisses me off that people can take such a loving breed of dog and turn it into such an evil animal.

Sorry if this turned into a mini-rant.

It really sucks that people make their pits aggressive, since they can easily be made so, just to impress their friends or make people think they're bad asses......

It all boils down to the owners, the dog is always going to mold himself to the owners ways, trust me.
My neighbors had bought a pot bellied pig as a pet, then another one, and soon those had some babies, 3 of them, one day they all got lose, walked the length of their property, which is about 4 acres, they either found a hole under, made it through the fence, and walked another 3 acres to my backyard....
Now, imagine 5 pigs and a pitbull in the same place....
Loco went crazy barking at them, and had 2 of the baby pigs cornered... But he never bit any of them... He KNOWS right from wrong, and even though he wanted to have them for lunch, he knew that if he did, he would be in trouble with me, so after about a half an hour of hearing barks I went outside to see this situation. Loco was drooling profusely, I guess he was waiting for me to let him eat them, so I called him off, and he backed up and left them alone. This you can't blame on the dog, it is their instinct, but you can work their instinct in a lot of ways to stop aggressive behavior.
And contrary to some people's beliefs you DON'T have to beat a dog to force him to respect you... He will one day attack you or those aound him if you do, not only that but you make them suffer physically and psychologically by doing that.
My dog was raised without a hand ever being laid on him and he is the cool dog, with an awesome personality because of that....

This thread is all over the place, but we had a new neighbor move in across the street. Another neighbors pit got out and killed their cat posthaste. It was pretty gruesome. The dog's owner is a jerk. Go figure.
