Some of you may of heard about the harrowing story of young Maddie McCann being stolen from her room in Portugal 6 days ago. There are a number of people helping to search for her and her aunt has made a little e-poster to be sent out via email which I am redoing so it's in other languages, so if you can speak something other than English could you reply with the following in your language:

BTW: Simply as a header (without name) I'd like to choose: Gesucht! (without "wird").

you can indeed use 'Gezocht' as 'Missing' for the title, although it literally translates to 'Searching for' or something (same goes for the German translation).

P-language was allegedly used by the Flemish soldiers during the first world war in the trenches.
Since the Germans could understand Flemish (= variation of Dutch) a bit (Dutch and German have some similarities), the Flemish soldiers shouted to each other in P-language to confuse the enemy.

P-language is easy and fun and can be implemented in any language.
You start the word, after every vowel you say a 'p' and the same vowel, then continue with the rest of the word.

Once you get the hang of it, it can be spoken fluently and is easy to understand if you know the original language good enough (preferably your mother language)

There was an article on Fox News web page today. Apparently, and disturbingly, the police have concluded that Madeleine was abducted by some sort of pedophile network.

The family wants this to be the poster that goes out. If you look into her right eye you'll see an odd wee black bit in her iris. Unlike her hair, clothes, etc this obviously can't be changed;

My middle son has an irregular shaped iris. The Dr. called it a key hole. aparently if the child is born with it they should be able to see fine but if it developes afterwards it can cause trouble with the eye. Is that what she has?

I can't believe the Portugese police waited until now to issue a description (admittedly very vague) of a man they want to interview who was seen loitering near the apartment the night Madeleine was abducted. Apparently their investigations are usually conducted in strict secrecy in cases like this with little or no local media coverage and/or assistance although the foreign media frenzy has more than compensated for that. This reminds me very much of a case several years ago when a young British boy, Ben something?, disappeared in very similar circumstances in Greece. Despite several alleged sightings he was never found Crying or Very sad

At least in this case the 'anomaly' in Madeleine's right eye will make her instantly recogniseable both now and any time in the future. My thoughts and prayers remain with her parents whose living hell I can't even begin to imagine.

Odd as it may seem to jurisdictions with less restrictive rules, apparently the Portugese police are highly restricted by law as to what they can say about an ongoing investigation. Whilst it has undoubtedly frustrated the British media, used to a more open regime, it seems it is not something over which the police there have any control.
