From time to time, and very often lately there has been lads calling on my scambaiting number, and ask for one of my characters. They often have a story like -
"There was a box in the airport that your contact information was attached!"
"The consigment had your information on it!"..
And so on - and this is often lads from Ghana. |

This question, and derivatives gets asked now and again, Lads are in competition (sort of) with each other so wouldn't as a rule share info (especially if they get one of us, not good to admit to your mates you've be fooled) but your info may well get passed around or put on a list of e-mails thats sold on.
I found your info..... rather like an ASEM that baiters send out.
Currently (hopefully) all Ghana lads are outside a bank in Accra having a monumental scrap. Your phone number could also have made it to Lads list.
If you get any before tomorrow's re-arranged bank fight be sure to arrange a meeting with them. |

Chipmunk has been passed on to new scammers in mid scam at times. An IP in Turkey will suddenly become an IP in Ghana, and the writing style will change. Which lends itself to all sorts of possibilities. |

Generally Lads won't help each other. In fact it is usually the exact opposite. I recently gave a cheque scammer the mother and father of all insults. It was beautifully crafted to insult, humiliate and make the Lad feel stupid, and I got a similar scam mail into the same account a day or two later.
Now it isn't a catcher account so only a previous scammer would know the address, and there would be no point them trying to scam me again. I didn't tell them I was a baiter, but I told them I had run off with their money. I suspect they passed me on to a competitor to make them suffer. I would have obliged too, but I have enough to deal with just now. |

These days, I'm running each bait from its own separate account.
I've had situations where a check bait came to an end, and then a week letter that box will get an email telling me I've won the lottery.
And as expected, the IP of the lotto lad was the same as that of a check lad. They're just trying a different scam. |

North American lads, at least the ones who have been busted and especially the syndicated ones, have been known to forward information (for profit) to the more organized ID theft rings. Then the real raping and pillaging starts.
But I'd have to agree with the above posts. To the lads, the info they have is their source of income, and they wouldn't want to give money away.
I just love the image of a hundred lads all duking it out in front of a bank! If there are any conceptual artists in the room, please take note... |
