Like Gomer I am playing it straight too. Same mode as well. But given that the Noma hospital is supported by the Nigerian Gov, and opened by their President/Prime Minister could we not get the Nigerian Gov to ask The Kenya Gov/Police to investigate this? Anyone got a friendly MP about who can work on this. Maybe Shiver can get his to act?
If we can keep this guy gently active for a while so he doesnt panic and pull the plug we have a chance. I know we deal with Nigerian scammers all the time ,but Nigerians are not all bad. It was just an idea that the Nigerians might not like a Kenyan Scammer stealing potential funding from their Gov Funded Hospital. Thanks Emma for picking up what I posted. I am waving a 500,000 Euro donation at this one and pushing for Certificate from Charity Comissioners, and the need for a Bank Transfer. "Out of africa" seems a good route.I think we should cool the safari mode just for now,just make sure they are doing office work.I am convinced there are a few of them working this . Different writing ability and texts although some of them match up superficially.

I am after this basterd since months. Before he has used the name DR CHRIS CROSS and after I have burned him very good he changed his name to Allan Robert and is back again.

I could gather lots of info which I have forwrded to the REAL NO NOMA ORG. in Switzerland and the lady who I have talked to is forwarding everything to their lawyers and INTERPOL

Okay, this is becoming unbelievable how this scum has had it lucky up until now. Like Jeff says, lets all get together and try to flush him out. Let's not spook the guy. Chris from Facing Africa is checking this website as he told me they had been faced with scammers before. Allen Robert is a bit savvy
I think and needs to be handled with kid gloves. I have backed off because I think you lot have more experience than I. Just please keep in contact with Jeff and plan this out.
This warm fuzzy feeling must be what it is all about. Take a bow guys and go get him.

I think that there is a lesson to be learned here - for baiting in general.

I think that this guy was after a quick buck. His writing skills are minimal and he is only fooling himself that he can fool others - although there are always bigger fools.

He is an opportunist, after crumbs. We have offered him many banquets and he can't handle that. It's too rich for his stomach and his resources. He would much rather have a quick $1000 by WU than 5 million in cash or by bank transfer. Even an idiot like him can work that out.

I think a lot of our efforts are wasted, well not entirely as they wasted some of his time and screwed-up some of his efforts. If he is still baitworthy, I think it is the quick and easy propositions he is going to go for.

Put some smaller worms on the hook and see what happens.

It is good that we got the real 'Facing Africa' informed but a shame that he couldn't get connected because of our DNS problems. I think we should follow through on this. Get him to report it to the police and the press. The publicity would be good for his cause as well as ours!

The problem in this case is to NAIL that lad in order to bring him to justice.

Therefore we need a victim- that means an organization that really fights the noma disease and which name he has abused to collect donations.

I have asked nonoma.org in Switzerland to send him a dollar or two on his real bankaccount and with this EVIDENCE go to the police. This was last December. I may re-check with the lady from nonoma about the outcome (at least he is not anymore abusing THAT organization�s name but has switched to abuse other good names) AND - he is still free and not in a jail where he actually belongs to but such arrests are very very hard to achieve. Wink

^^^ Yes, it would be good to get him and his ilk locked-up but consider this. He will not divulge his own bank details but get a 'mule' to collect the money. This person may or may not know that they are doing something wrong but it is very unlikely that they will know the identity of the original scammer.

Even he did get his collar felt by the boys in blue, there is still the matter of hard evidence to convict him in a court of law. That is a lot more difficult than you think.

These guys are crafty and street wise from an early age. The biggest mistake they make is playing in our street but we can do very little other than say 'shoo'. That can make a difference as far as victims are concerned but it won't solve the underlying problem - the instinct to survive in a harsh environment!

I've just had a reply from him about my offer of $50,000 per year. I have already cut a check for $250,000 and sent him a blurry scan of it telling him that all I need is the address and he will get it by overnight courier. I'm sure he won't want the check but he will want the money somehow. I expect to get a bank account to do a transfer into. If it is in the UK, I will contact the bank's security department and the Fraud Squad as I have done before to good effect. If it's in Africa, I will contact Alan in SA.

I got his reply back during the day - nice of him to give me a choice - mmmmm I choose the UK - I'll tell him very shortly. If Emma has good contacts I am happy to pass info to her - but I'll be on anyone's case in the UK I can find to get the matter dealt with - I even have MI5's contact details - no kidding. I feel kinda aggressive over this.

Makes me think it would be good to ask for a spread of accounts over the world - just to test if there is a network involved - just a thought.

^^^^ The guy is probably trying to set up mules to accept the money and pass it onto him. We have to be careful here. If the mule is arrested, the scammer gets off.

In an ideal situation, the mule should be made to reveal where s/he is supposed to send on the money (minus the obligatory 20%).

Of course, there may be more links in the chain between our mule and lad. If I was doing such a scam, I would want to be well insulated!

Got to try to get to the source.

Very cunning - the Greek bank address looks to be Bull**** - I checked on the bank's website and they have two branches in Piraeus neither at that address. Could be possible that the branch has a local address that is different to its publsihed address but that seems unlikely. I suspect he's playing a cute game of obfuscating where the money would go. The important thing is the SWIFT code - forget the written address.

The UK SWIFT code matches perfectly to the sorting code as it would have to to go through withut a hitch

I have had a couple of emails from Chris and the first was an email that was frowarded to him last December. Like Mathias said this is from Dr Chris Cross and basically is the same scam as this. The other is pasted below...
