hey im new to this site i found it while looking for tips on this , recently i was like many taken advantage of by ebayers in hong kknog selling fake mp4 player with 4GB of memory i was wondering can anyone give me any tips as i have now baited them into thinking im a buyer via h*tmail and im considering ordering a few hundred thousand of these fakes to nowhere

i just checked "legal" sticky there and can say that these guys offered to sell to me directly ouside ebay anyway through an online banking transaction thing so im safe there, they will never know who i am either

im not sure what there online banking transaction is yet outside of ebay , but i guessing they will specify in there reply

mp4 is a the video version of mp3 format
the mp4 player i got was brandless and cost about 50 euro , i was told like many thousands of other that i would recieve a 4 gigabyte device but they mislabeled this as 4GB and gave at most 4gigabits which is only 1gigabyte and that was if you were lucky most people only got about 256mb. but this wasnt mislabelling the memory is purposely hacked to read 4Gb when you check it through your pc but files corrupt once you reach that limit. they sell on ebay under a few different names e.g e-britain which is where i got mine and all payments go to the one ebay seller "ugoole" they only ever refund a device if you really kick up a fuss but they ask it be returned via unregisterd post and only refund you half once they build enogh bad press they change names and start all over, and just like your 419 scammers they use scripted responses like "reinstall your firmware" which they know will not work.

also the devices arent mp4 its a name they use an old formats called amv and mtv

sorry if this is long but think people should be aware of this here but you all seem so wonderfully cynacle so im sure few of you went for it

The golden rule is only bait if you are CERTAIN the scammers have NONE of your personal info, you must be completely anonymous.

as for any info they may have on there ebay i think im just one in many thousands of customers recorded on their accounts which would more than likely be closed.

^^^^^Nah, Hotmail shows your computer's IP. The long-time baiters here use gmail, fastmail, etc. and strongly advise everyone to do the same. They're anonymous.

If you want a fake phone number to give them check out K7.net. It lets you retrieve messages as .WAV files and it's free.

The idea is that they're portable. iPods can be called mp4 players, as they do play mp4s. Zunes and PSPs too, I believe, anyway, you get the idea.
