As a new member I thought I�d better introduce myself. I�ve been a freelance writer for a number of years. Anyone remotely interested can find out more about me on www.XXXX.com/XXXX.htm. Yes, I know this is shameful self-advertising. Actually, the last forum I was on was part of David Cameron�s website, (I believe he�s the leader of the Conservative Party.) It ended in tears. After expressing some strong opinions about smoking I got labelled a �sarcasshole.� What did they expect? As far as I could gather, most Conservative smokers firmly believed their habit was non-addictive and posed no health hazards. I can only surmise they were also smoking other substances. Whatever the reason, if I were Cameron I�d start dishing out those nicotine patches before the next general election. As a result, I decided I just wasn�t cut out for political debate.

I also do computer artwork using Photoshop and Illustrator on my old G4 Mac. Samples can be found on www.XXXX.com/XXXX/XXXX.html. More shameless self-advertising! My speciality is doctoring photographs, so if anyone needs any I�ll be glad to oblige. I also picked up a number of dirty tricks from the Army Intelligence Corps where I played a minor role. I was digging coal for them. That was a joke. Anyway, many of these tricks originated from the old wartime Political Warfare Executive who specialised in black propaganda. I don�t know how many were actually used during the Cold War, but we used to have great fun devising new versions whilst grappling with the mountains of paperwork that arrived each day. The chief architect of many of PWE�s dirty tricks was a journalist called Sefton Delmer. Apart from clandestine radio broadcasts, PWE also distributed text and graphic images. (Whilst perfecting my skills, I recalled PWE and created some photos of Hitler. One shows him dancing naked with another man outside a farmhouse. I even managed to put an official Nazi stamp on the photo.) Nothing was sacred. PWE even sent letters to the parents of U-Boat personnel killed in action persuading them their loved ones were still alive! All�s fair in love and war. I therefore believe that the methods used by PWE could be directed against the scammers.

Welcome. As a general rule we try to conceal our real identities here and tend not to reveal too much personal information about ourselves, fascinating as it may be Laughing

It's a useful discipline when baiting. Before you do anything else then here's the standard advice for newbies: Read the Stickies and read them again. They contain all the information you need and a lot you didn't think you need. If you plan to bait then do it safely and get yourself a safe email addy (gmail, hushmail, fastmail) which conceals your IP address so you cannot be traced. Check your PMs and read the one you will have received from Nurse Nasty which also contains important information. Read around the Forum and learn from ongoing or completed baits - they are a very useful resource and give a much better indication of how to bait successfully than giving a How To Bait checklist. I can also highly recommend our excellent Mentor facility. Enjoy!

I agree. It was morally reprehensible. But then, so is gassing men, women and children just because they belong to a different religion. PWE�s decision caused some controversy. As did the decision to bomb German civilians. Unfortunately, war tends to bring out the worst in people.
