I have read about this and other safaris on YW's site. I am so disgusted by the three of you. You make me sick, doing this to the scammers. You send them off on interesting journies to exotic parts of Africa and they ust be having the time of their lives travelling like this. Sudan, Namibia and now Kenya. I know you are sending them to some pretty tough places, but I would really like to visit these places.

There are 4 caves on the eastern flank of Mt. Elgon... were they in the right one??? ask them if it was the one w/ the waterfall in front of it and what the name of the cave is....

They may have to search all 4 of em

Some observations...

The host still remains unknown to this day. Numerous people have visited the Kitum cave unprotected without getting infected. While there is some evidence that the virus can spread through air in lab settings, this hasn't been documented with humans.

I would be delighted if you somehow got him to give you daily health reports. Does he have symptoms like fever, headache, sore throat or pain all over his body? The trick would be to get him tell you this without tipping him off, and not to scare him away from the Mt. Elgon area. The incubation period varies from two days to three weeks, which would make this a bit difficult.

Im thinking we might be able to milk another trip out of Bruce...but this time I'd like him to think that Zeid went back to the cave and found the money. He would then tell Bruce that he is going to flee camp with the money and to meet him somewhere in Uganda on the other side of Mt. Elgon.

Hopefully YW checks in today. He mans Zeids phoneline and I believe a reassuring call to Bruce later tonight will get him back in the mood for some more sightseeing.

Yes. I'm thinking that perhaps he did not make the trip as he claimed. Were you able to confirm his arrival in east africa via IP? Not to sound insulting, the work you guys have done is wonderful.

Yes I do agree that it is pretty quick. We do not have an IP trace on him because he never emailed us when in Nairobi...he only sent chats out. However, he was MIA all day Saturday and Sunday so it is very possible that he was out there. I believe YW even tried to call him a couple of times and there was no answer. Bruce did tell us that his cell phone has no service in another country. To make sure, we are going to get some more proof. Since Zeid will find the money in the cave, he will question whether Bruce went at all and will demand proof ie airplane stubs, taxi stubs, etc.

This should quiet the naysayers Wink

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to be a naysayer. From the convos it's clear he's gone to Kenya.

I just think it's bloody typical of a lad to go to all that trouble and then not try very hard right when it comes to the crunch bit that matters. Why would he want to go back to Accra so quickly? Surely he could have made the effort to contact you from Kenya to find out what was going on. What is it with lads heads?

No offense taken GH. It did seem a bit peculiar but I have no doubt that he went. I would like some proof though.

I reckon you need to nail him down for some proof. I can't believe he'd fork out for 2 return air tickets to fly to the other side of the continent and then make his way to an inaccessible place and then when he didn't actually trip over the 'bag', just give up like that and fly back to Ghana empty handed without even attempting to contact anyone first. He also doesn't seem to be especially angry in the circs. Please, I'm not doubting your safari/baitins skills at all - I am in awe - I just think there's something not quite right....... Remember how ballistic the other safari lads went when they twigged it was a joke?? I'm just not getting that vibe here.
