Here's my first attempt at scambaiting a lottery 419. I only kept this going for a couple of weeks.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

Zenith Bank also actually exists in Lagos, and the address I gave them is correct. Mr. Jim Ovia is actually the managing director of Zenith Bank.

Pancho Villa was a Mexican Bandit who led the only foreign invasion of the United States when he raided Columbus, New Mexico about 100 years ago. Columbus is not that far from Lordsburg, and everyone in Lordsburg would be quite aware who �Pancho Villa� was. And he�s not the money transfer manager at Western Bank.

I'm so excited!!! I can hardly wait to get that money!!

I have arranged for the funds transfer to Mr. Ufuoma Onohawakpor. Unfortunately, we don't have a Western Union office here in Lordsburg (its a very small town). I was at a loss what to do, and finally decided to ask my very best friend, Mrs. Sally Powers, who is our Pastor's wife.

She had an excellent idea. Our church (The First United Communion Breathern) regularly supports an orphanage in Lagos!! The way we send the money over there is by a bank to bank transfer of funds. We do this every month, and the bank here is quite familiar with the procedures.

Sally and I went down to the Bank (Western Bank), and we were able to arrange a transfer to Mr. Onohwakpor without any problems at all!!! (I think the Bank thought we were sending more money to the orphange!)

Here's what he has to do to get the funds. The money has been transferred to Zenith Bank which is at:

You have to go to the branch and ask for Mr. Jim Ovia. He's the man that dispenses the money we send to the orphage every month, and he is well aware of the way that this is done.

The bank had me write out the check to Mr. Onohwakpor and sign it, and then they scanned it. They had the scan accompany the money transfer to the Zenith Bank. They gave me a copy of the scan on a disk, and told me to send it to you. Mr. Onohwakpor needs to print off a copy of the scanned check and take it with him when he goes to the Zenith Bank. That way they can compare his scan with theirs to determine authenticity. And he needs to insist that he speak with Mr. Ovia -- he's the one who knows about the money transfer. If there are any other questions, you can have the Zenith Bank call the Western Bank and ask to speak to the money transfer officer, Mr. Pancho Villa.

Time to pull the plug. I�m trying to get him to think that if he can get to Zenith Bank before I do, then he would be able to cash the �check�. Of course, I�m figuring he knows the time zone differences and will think that I don�t.

I tossed out a few insults to try to get him to make a trip to the bank out of revenge if nothing else.

We can't understand why an organization such as yours, which is big enough to issue winning checks of one million dollars, can't go to a bank in the city you are located because you are "very far from the location."

The only thing we can figure is that you are lying to me. The fact that you want me to go to a truck stop in the bad section of town to send money to you makes it even more suspicious. Sir, I do not use truckstops as my banking source!! If you are lying to me about being able to go to a bank in your city, you are probably lying to me about other things too. You are probably stealing money from the lottery you work for too.

I suspect that if you did go to Zenith Bank with my check, they would ask for identification. If you gave them that identification they would probably check the wanted posters and discover that you were wanted for child molestation or passing bad checks or something like that.

Therefore, Mr. Omoruyi, as soon as the bank opens tomorrow at 9 am I will be there and will instruct Mr. Pancho Villa, the bank money transfer agent, to immediately cancel the fund transfer I had made to you at the Zenith Bank. I'm fortunate I sent you this money on a Friday, so you weren't able to get it during the weekend. Well rest assured, Mr. Omoruyi, that I will be up bright and early on Monday morning and you won't be able to get that money regardless of how early you get to the Zenith Bank.
