I just so happened to have recently closed a very

profitable "deal" in real life and I wanted to celebrate somehow.

My current mugu's are pretty boring and stupid, so I thought that I'd

"bait" some smart people for a change.

What better way than to jab a stick into this hornets nest and RUN !! Smile

Please forgive me for the "button pushing", it was all meant in good fun.

Peter..I have to agree with most of the others..you are really aiming to get yourself "troll" status.And most trolls get barred.
That was me being nice..now the other half..

Years ago when my kids were about 4 & 2 years old,I was working at 3 jobs to support them.I couldn't afford a tv let alone a computer,and I was damned if i would go on welfare.
Nothing heroic,just damned pride.
If i had owned a computer and an offer like that would have come in,i would have entertained getting job #4 and never seeing my kids,let the babysitter watch them..to send scammers the money.
I would have thought that I would have been helping my kids with their future.
Because these kids had no other relatives...just me,and if something were to happen to me they would have placed in protective custody.
We ate peanut butter,chicken noodle soup...forget about meat.
This is the only time i will share this with anyone..so don't tell me vicitim's are greedy..they are desperate,lonely,and bloody afraid.
So shut up,read more threads and stop trying to start flame wars.

I'll chip in a little again. I work, not in law-enforcement, but in security. Often, we see street crime and the victims of such even before police or ambulances. If someone's home has been broken into, we're there first. If there's a street fight, we're usually there first. If there's a robbery, we're often there first. If there's an assault, we're often there first.

I've seen a lot, more than most, and I know what crime is. Crime doesn't hurt your body, for the most part. Crime hurts your mind, and soul. Your dignity is taken when someone robs you.

You're humiliated when someone steals from you.
You're scarred on the inside when someone tricks your money from you.
Your soul get wounded when someone invades your home, abuses your trust or lures you into deceiving your friends and family.
Outside wounds heal. Money can be replaced.
Bleedings stop and bruises disappear, but the fear and humiliation remains.

I've seen rape victims turn away because they can't look you in the eye, when the rest of their bodies are exposed. Shame, fear and humiliation.
Those are the things that kill silently, ruthlessly. Those are the things 419-scammers cause.

If I can keep a scammer away from his computer 15 minutes - maybe enough time for a victim to think again - I'm a hero. So is TexanCSI, EgyptKah, Shiver, MrsBean, Eatyo Urgreens, and all the others.

Take another minute to think things said here in this thread over.

You're not joking.
You're stealing time.
You're not funny, you're a menace.
You're not smart, you're ignorant when you make claims that we are not getting at the root of crime.

We steal criminals's time! Time is money. Money that can spell death or deliverance for a potential victim.

So fu*k you and your besserwisser attitude, hoss. We don't like you anymore. You're not doing any good, and until you prove otherwise, I don't think you're worth a minute more of mine, or anyone else's time.

I think that the bulk of the hostility generated by my little prank, only goes to show a much deeper insecurity that lies within ALL of us.
You see, if I can pull off something as stupid as this and you (the angry person) fell for it.
That means that you're vulnerable to a liar, just as we ALL are.
And that means, that we're not perfect like we try to fool ourselves into thinking that we are....and that means, we can be hurt.
Nobody likes to think that, but it's true.
So,once again I'm sorry that my tasteless joke exposed this vulnerability that we ALL share, it wasn't my intention.
It was just a stupid joke.
But, if you're STILL actually angry or upset by it,
it might give you a little something to mentally chew on.
That can only result in a deeper understanding of yourself and that's a good thing,
if it results in positive changes in your life.
Don't worry about the bill, this one's on me.
* About the ONLY truthful statement in my previous postings,
was the one about being paid to solve problems. Smile
